It was a fantastic, and for us, a 'different' experience staying on this very comfortable and clean boat. We really very much enjoyed it. The location was superb (the views, the proximity to the town centre) and the marina toilet and shower facilities were easily accessible, clean and well maintained (sort of similar to staying on a good quality campsite). Communication with Mariano was excellent - always responsive, clear and happy/good natured. It was just the two of us, so we had plenty of space for spreading our clothes and hiking gear around. Overall, we would highly recommend!

We walked down into San Sebastian, got a taxi back up the hill! The taxi drivers were really helpful. We ate in small popular restaurant in the centre of San Sebastian and the food was as expected. The prices were good for what we ate. The weather (although not important) was excellent.

This particular city was our least favourite on the trip around the Canary Islands, the town lacked atmosphere compared to others such as Vilaflor, La Laguna and Vallehermoso. But the Parador hotel was lovely.

An excellent variety of seating areas around the hotel.
An excellent variety of seating areas around the hotel. The traditional furnishings were wonderful. A very comfortable bed. Make sure you ask for the cooked breakfast menu as this isn’t well advertised.

Excellently located in the heart of San Sebastian.
Excellently located in the heart of San Sebastian. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They also provided a lot of information. Cleaning of the apartment was excellent. For early arrivals and late departures they provide excellent left luggage facilities. Would return in a heartbeat. Muchas gracias.

If the photo of the terrace is what was represented to me when I booked then this was a bait and switch.
Also I think I read in the ad that this was beachfront property?
Beach about a mile away.
I would expect a partial refund if My purchase did not conform to the listing in the advertisement.

We mainly used San Sebastian as a base for walking in the mountains. We found it to be down to earth and pleasant. Buses around the island are very good. Everything is very hilly though, so be prepared for some long up-hill slogs unless you are just staying in the main plaza. And especially if staying in the Parador hotel.

Explore guest reviews of hotels in San Sebastián de la Gomera
In all of the reviews that I have done, I think that this hotel has been the most harshly rated.
It is way above low 8’s and, in my opinion, is worthy of 9.5+ as I can not fault in any way (booking.com does not facilitate subtleties in ratings any more).
The location could not be more central, the price was great value and all of the staff at reception and breakfast were lovely.
The room was pristine and spacious, breakfast was fine and I had a lovely ovely view of the Torre with the sea to the side.
It's a simple hotel, but I thought they did everything very well for that price level. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions. Room was well-equipped with things like fridge, iron. Breakfast was decent: nothing special, but I found it very worthwhile as it was available from an early time and was reasonably priced.
Breakfast quite a good standard .
Room view good (but for 25 euro per night supplement.)
Courtyard gardens very peaceful and well maintained , less so main gardens.
Staff efforts to keep a smiling service while badly understaffed - and this shortage impacted all aspects of the hotel operation.
The hotel is well situated for the main square and amenities. A comfortable hotel and very friendly and helpful staff. Currently undergoing some improvements but will be even better once completed. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of cold and hot food choices. Would stay there again.
Very nice boat located in the quiet and secured marina of San Sebastian de la Gomera, 3 minutes walk from the town center, supermarkets, excellent restaurants and other facilities (gas station, ferry terminal,…). Comfortable, well-equipped. We had a perfect stay!
I stayed 3 nights here. Its a very nice apartment in the center of San Sebastian de la Gomera. Small place, but fairly comfortable, well equipped kitchen, good wifi, easy access. Belen was very communicative and was keen to make my stay as pleasant as possible.
Really impressed with this hotel. The location is perfect, just a 5 minute walk to the harbour.
Rooms are small but they have everything you need and are spotless. The staff were really nice and helpful. Couldn’t fault this place for value for money.
EVERYTHING! but especially the staff and how clean and well kept the room and generally the hotel well kept. they also had luggage storage which really helped us out while we hiked across the island on the gr131. super love this place!!
Hotel Torre del Conde was a pleasant surprise. I expected a functional and perhaps dated place. But the room was modern, very clean & comfortable, mostly quiet (the paseo can be a bit noisy). Breakfast was included and passable.
Stunning hotel, had real soul, we slept really well, lovely sound of birdsong, gardens, lots of space, kind staff, peace and quiet, a magnificent clifftop pool overlooking the sea. Lunch was delicious. Breakfast good.
Large very clean apartment. Well equipped kitchen. Staff were helpful. We were cycle touring on our tandem which they stored for us in their garage. Close to shops and the ferry terminal. Would use this hotel again.
The room I think had been renovated to a very good standard the beds were comfortable and it was nice and quiet at night the place was very clean breakfast and staff very good glad we pick this hotel
Very beautiful and spacious apartment, in the very center of San Sebastián de la Gomera but still totally calm at night. Comfortable bed, and all equipment for a smooth stay is there.
