It was a reasonable choice for my one-night stopover while traveling. The location was ideal, with proximity to Gibraltar.
Featuring rooms with free Wi-Fi, the family-run Hostal la Campana is just a few metres from the border with Gibraltar.

Great position close to the beach. Lots of great bars and restaurants and two or three small supermarkets within easy walking distance. Lovely gardens to sit in with lots of tables and chairs in the sunshine and shaded areas. Room had a fridge which was handy.
Overall just a brilliant stay! & will definitely be going back!
- Apartment was plenty spacious for the 3 of us plus all our golf gear
- Awesome outdoor terrace/balcony with BBQ looking out over the 5th hole on San Roque Old Course (I think it was the 5th!)
- Owner/host (Ciaran) & local agent (Pauline) couldn't do enough to help while we were there. Always a call or message away
- Underground parking really handy
- Great location for golfing in Sotogrande
The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. You need a car or access to taxis. There's not really much access to evening food onsite or in the casino but the hotel is very clean and the rooms are great value.
This is a travel hotel, not the best location just off the road but convenient. It is basic but does the job and the price is reasonable. There is a workers cafe/bar next door but meals are not available.
