The staff and the idea. How it is organized. I like a lot how personal the business is

We loved pretty much everything. Amazing, stylish property, renovated to keep the traditional architecture of 17th century. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and fully fitted kitchen made our stay unforgettable.

Room - The hotel is located right on the beach and our apartment had a sea view which was absolutely fantastic. The apartment was really spacious and light with very comfortable beds and spacious clean bathrooms. There was a terrace room (not really a balcony) that ran the length of the apartment which was lovely and warm in May - perfect for drying swimming gear and sitting to read but I imagine it could get quite hot in the summer months.
Staff - were always friendly and as helpful as could be although we had some miscommunication in the bar/cafe at times - we definitely need to brush up on our Spanish as not their fault! The whole area is quite unspoilt so expect to make an effort with the language and culture, it was really nice to not be in a big resort geared to Brits.
Food - We didn't have breakfast as the apartment had a kitchenette which was adequate for light meals (fridge, microwave, hob, toaster) - no kettle though so if you are British, prepare to boil water for tea in a pan! Well equipped kitchen in terms of pans and utensils. The fridge wasn't massive but there is a supermarket just down the road so easy to stock up.
Activities - The indoor pool was small but warm and great for our kids to play in as it was so quiet there was no-one else there. We also made use of the gym, table football and table tennis so plenty to do on-site. There is a garden with loungers but you could not access this from the pool area which would have been nice although maybe this is different later in the season. We travelled half an hour into the mountains to access a guided Via Ferrata trip with Vulcan Adventures - stunning but challenging and also a guided canoe trip on the Ason river with CanoAson - highly recommended. Just up the coast, Noja is an amazing beach and has a good choice of restaurants and cafes.
The best bit for us tho was access to the most beautiful beach - great waves for surfing, sand for playing or just early morning walks - so gorgeous.
Posada La Mies is located in Noja, just 350 metres from the beautiful Tregandín Beach. It offers charming, individually decorated rooms with a TV and a private bathroom.
Very good facilities and very clean. They were very friendly and attentive. The pool and barbecue facilities in the house were very good. Local supermarket not the best, best to plan ahead. Would repeat stay
