Quaint medieval village nestled in the rolling hills of...
Quaint medieval village nestled in the rolling hills of Catalunya. They do not allow visitor automobile traffic in the village. You must park in a public parking lot for 3EURO per day and walk in to the village. It was about a 5 min walk from the parking lot to the hotel we stayed at and would recommend, Hotel Hostal Estrella. I would NOT recommend Rupit for anyone who has mobility issues. There is a bit of walking to get to the hotel and there are plenty of inclines to pass over while you walk around the village. But if you enjoy walking, it is the place for you. The village offers a glimpse of a typical medieval village in northern Spain. They light up the major sights, the church, the castle ruins, etc during the evenings, so it is very picturesque. It is also great as a base for hiking. They have a trail leading from the town center to a waterfall and a beautiful valley that takes only about 2 hours from start to finish. And from the village there are other beautiful villages to explore about 20-30 mins drive.

Great as a base camp for local hiking/walking/biking or a stop along a longer journey. Beautiful little village - but it is that - little! But stunningly lovely.
Loved out overnight stay at Hotel Estrella - and will visit there again.
We enjoyed our stay in Rupit a lot!
The room was not large but cozy and it was really fresh inside (outside it was about +30 🥵), at night it was quite and the bed was comfortable so we managed to relax.
We liked the woman at the reception, she was super friendly. She proposed we have the later check-out which was very helpful.
The dinner in the restaurant from Micheline Guide "Estrella" was great: the service and the food were amazing. As well as our breakfast in the morning.
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in - the decor is beautiful, the service is exceptional (a what’s app was set up when we arrive for any questions we have) and the food out of this world! Breakfast and dinner on the terrace offer the most amazing views and are a must while staying here.
Finally, the location is perfect. So peaceful and off the beaten track while only a 15 minute walk into Rupit, which is where the shops/restaurants are.
Rupit is such a cool town—I totally love this place! The apartment is in a great spot, feels like a chill guesthouse with a common area and fireplace on the 1st floor.
It wasn't too expensive, and it was pretty clean, with all the stuff we needed. The room was small, but hey, we were just crashing there for the night.
The owner was super friendly, really helpful, and quick to respond.
Fantastic location with amazing views. Judith was a charming and very helpful host and a great chef.
15 minute walk (down hill) to the wonderful village of Rupit with bars, restaurants and shops. Lots of well signposted walks both from the hotel and from the village in the surrounding spectacular countryside. Nice to be able to cool off in the pool after walking.
Everything. The room was super cozy and clean. The restaurant was great. The staff is super sweet and caring, and they truly make you feel welcome and at home, which is hard to find these days. The hotel itself is basically in the middle of the town of Rupit, which is a huge plus.
the hotel is wonderful and so is the staff. perfect location, beautiful hotel and delicious food at the restaurant. we had some incredible hikes in the area and the staff was very accommodating. will definitely come back
This is the best hotel in the area! We loved everything : from the hight quality accommodation, the nicest and friendliest manager, the most delicious food and spectacular views! Must visit place! We will be back!
So many great things about this hotel. Incredible location, great food (Luis was very accommodating to our vegetarian diet), very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful hotel, amazing view from the room.
Rupit is such a cute village and the location is only 6 minutes walk from the center. The location is good, and it has three terraces to enjoy the setting sun with a wine and some snacks.
Everything was great. Beautiful hotel in the town center. We can highly recommend to also have dinner at the hotel restaurant, they offer great menus with catalan dishes and high quality.
