I liked the unbelievably friendliness of the long-standing staff. They are great. (BUT the new staff are often off-hand).
I liked the excellent access to the motorway

Breakfast we had delicious croissants with coffee. Dinner was good, menu all in Spanish as very little English spoken but we managed.

We were made very welcome. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. The food was excellent, and Paula ,the host, couldn't have been nicer.

It was just off the main Road on our route to bilbao and so met our requirements for location
Located midway between Burgos Airport and the historic centre, Hostal Arlanzón is a 10-minute drive from both. Set on the main Vitoria Street, it offers free Wi-Fi and some rooms have a balcony.
Excellent location right on our route. Dogs made very welcome. Staff were very helpful and friendly and room and all communal spaces spotlessly clean. It was very good value. The restaurant served good quality food. Price reasonable. There is a cafe/bar with snacks.

The location when travelling as it just within a few minutes...
The location when travelling as it just within a few minutes of the main road and has a large car park or secure garage parking for a small fee. Would totally recommend it. I have used it several times and have never been disappointed with my stay.
The hotel had a great location for travelling through Spain, the staff were very lovely and helpful even with the language barrier, we had our dog with us, so could not use the restaurant but there was a room for this that was very nice were we spent the evening and the staff waited on us. There was secure parking as an optional extra which was gated, but there was free parking out the front of the hotel. There were plenty of grounds to walk our dog so very suitable for an over night stay.
the staff are excellent, we traveled with three small dogs. Hotel has a comfortable room where can get your meals.
plenty of secure parking, large green spaces to walk the dogs.
rooms are very quiet, some significant money has been spent to ensure extra glazing to ensure NO road noise. If you are travelling across Spain and need a place to overnight don’t be put off by location to motorway
This was our second time to stay in this hotel. We were travelling from Roscoff to the south of Spain with our two small dogs. The hotel is in a perfect location for an overnight stop off. Just off the motor way it’s very easy to find. Our room was basic but spotless and perfectly fine for one night. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
there where 2 big functions on very noisy then when they retired too their rooms they where very ‘noisy’ as I was driving from Marbella too the U.K. I ended up leaving 6am having had no sleep. I always stay at this hotel when I travel but was very disappointed as I was exhausted when I arrived but dangerously tired driving the next day
Hotel is very conveniently situated for travel to Bilbao for the ferry. The restaurant food is excellent and the service very good. The rooms are large and comfortable. We travelled with two dogs and the rooms were prepared with drinking bowls and beds for them. There are ample gardens for exercising the dogs too.
The hotel, terrace, gardens and room fantastic. Really pleasant surroundings, lovely reception are and large, airy, clean rooms. Great bathroom too. The beds were a little hard for me but not bad at all. I didn't see the bar menu but I would have that on the terrace if I came again.
The hotel is clearly decorated with love and care, making it feel unique. To our surprise the hotel had invested in electric vehicle charging stations (not indicated on booking.com yet!), which was a bonus. Very dedicated and pleasant staff
Perfectly located, very clean rooms, friendly staff. Also the secured parking (paying) was a great plus for us. This hotel became a fixed stop on our vacation route, we will be back next year!
