It was fairly quiet when we went, despite a large hotel opposite. Roquetas de Mar is a very clean, well maintained resort with all the facilities you might need. The Castillo de Santa Ana is worth visiting as is the small Aquarium. Beaches are lovely(very small stones rather than sandy but not uncomfortable to walk or lay on). The
We had hired a car at the airport and found our way round very easily although the bus services will get you to where you need.
There is a street market on Thursdays and the Gran Plaza shopping mall has a nice variety of shops and food outlets.
We will be back again

We have no idea about Roquetas as we seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. We drove around but didn’t find a town centre. Came back and ate in the Italian restaurant directly underneath the apartment. Quite a bit of noise late at night from the restaurants.

Very quiet location, good for us but maybe not if you like some night life as we didn’t find anything. Maybe just because it was early in the year. Lots of sun beds available, spa was nice. All staff were very polite.

Liked the fact it was a very Spanish resort (didn’t see any other tourists). It was very windy and rather chilly near the seafront which we were not expecting in mid May.
Harbour and castle worth visiting.
Beach front was hit and miss with places to eat and drink e.g some seemed very expensive , some full of kids, Some fully booked up.
Found a nice Italian in the end just before harbour. Harbour bar good too.

The area where the hotel was situated is set up for tourists with most of the facilities one could ask for. If one was prepared to travel down to the marina and port, there one can experience to local ambiance and enjoy a more Spanish atmosphere. Having my own car made life easy, if you hire a car make sure it has sat at or you have Waze or Google on your phone. The Castillo de Santa Anna by the port is worth a visit. Also well worthwhile is a visit to the film sets where a lot of the Spaghetti Westerns were made.

We drove to the beach from our apartment on our way back home, as we had visited Roquetas de Mar for a music concert . We took a long walk along the sea front, it seemed a really nice place to visit lots going on and to do but probably worth staying in one of the many hotels or apartments near to the beach front.

Restaurant was very good, great service from the staff. Our room, a family room was excellent. Nice bathroom / shower, comfortable beds. Lunch and dinner were excellent, with a nice choice of dishes.
Hotel was in a great location, offering easy access to the promenade. We took a nice walk along from the hotel to the port and castle, about 2 miles and it was lovely.
We stayed full board, but ventured out to some very local bars, less than a minute from the hotel, who were friendly and welcoming.
Not much to be honest. The staff were friendly and helpful though - we were also grateful for the Gratuity drinks for making us wait at check in and the bottle of fizz that seems standard for first time guests. Sadly this didn’t make up for our disappointment at the expense of such a disappointing place. Partly my mistake for booking such a large hotel in peak season, but the photos do not show the reality. It felt like a tired hotel.
Staff was amazing and very helpful in every area, from reception to cleaners to kitchen staff. A+ The pool area is excellent, breakfast and dinner, which we bougfht included were fantastic. Everything we needed was within the hotel vicinity. Also a fenced area leading right to the beach. We got a whole apartment for the family, though they humbly title it a family "room"
Comfortable beds, booked double room but ended up with apartment, wonderful views of pool and beach. Room a little dated but clean and comfortable.
Staff very friendly especially girl on the reception. Parking great price cheapest of any hotel we have ever stayed at, only 6 euros a day and very large car park .
Food above average with freshly baked bread.
Breakfast and dinner was brilliant! Room was high standart and perfectly clean. Staff was awesome! You can access the beach from the swimming pool area and there is a swimming pool with attractions for kids. In general I'd say it is the BEST hotel for family I have staid for now!
right at the beach, and beach walk, within walking distance to shopping, thai massage, beauty salon, restaurants and bars, it is a family hotel and caters to older and people with dissabilities, ramps everywhere, lifts into the pool, and more.
The hotel is beautiful and the people most of them are super nice.
The people and the green monkey restaurant was amazing I want it to have all my meals there
