La Farmacia, house rather than apartment is located in an historical setting, a commune for factory workers with school, cinema, theatre etc. All have been preserved in a lovely setting and used as homes and holiday lets.
La Farmacia is well furnished, comfortable and a great base to explore the region, shame we were passing through.

Sergio the host could not have been more friendly and helpful. He explained everything about the apartment which was wonderful,a lovely log fire too. I could not have been happier. A nice, peaceful location. Bring your own groceries if eating in as there are no shops in the village.

Located in Gironella in the Catalonia region, Casa i Colla features a balcony and quiet street views. Featuring mountain and city views, this apartment also offers free WiFi.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the facilities are very clean and well-maintained. The only 2 small drawbacks: the beds may be a bit on the shorter side for tall travelers 180+cm and as with many hostels (and hotels), the walls can be thin. If you're a light sleeper and have noisy neighbors, you might bring earplugs.

Lovely location in a small town. Beautiful building and clean. Decor was tasteful. Beds were comfy. Staff very helpful and friendly. Everything in walking distance. Although the hotel has pool we used the communal pool which you have to pay but worth it. Honesty fridge with stocked drinks was helpful. Fantastic area where we were the only British people.
This has to be the best hostal we ever stayed at. Hostal price with hotel quality accommodation. Classic language barrier not a problem, the owner (I think!) was friendly and jovial and we had fun trying to figure out what was what with very little common words!!
