I came in for a wedding. The Palacio was beautiful and my stay there was excellent. The ambience, atmosphere and surroundings are heavenly. Great breakfast. Excellent staff. I yearn very much to return there.

Loved to eat in "la union", and I think Puente Viesgo is the perfect place to be central and get to know Cantabria. Close to Altamira and other "Cuevas", Villapresente, Santander, Carbarceno, etc...

You can swim in the river.
You can swim in the river. There is a green trail which goes for miles if you like to walk, all level too. Thought the restaurant by the bridge was expensive and pretentious. Better to eat at the hotel. Supermarket about 25 mins walk stocks everything. Didn’t have time to see the cave paintings, so will hopefully return.

Very convenient location for touring Cantabria.
Very convenient location for touring Cantabria. Easy access to motorway to get to beaches, mountains and many places of interest. The caves just outside the town are well worth visiting and can be done the same day. The Moneda caves have brilliant formations whereas the Castillo caves are more renowned for the ancient cave art. The entrance prices are excellent value for money and the guides in both caves took time to briefly outline the key points for us in English. This was especially helpful in the case of cave art.
it’s was a very warm welcome and comfortable established Hotel which locals seem to visit. Friendly and helpful staff we muddled through with translation but very helpful. The location is great being close to Santander and there are great walks nearby from the Hotel.
Fantastic spacious house in amazing location on the green way in Puente Viesgo and 30 mins drive to some beautiful beaches. Host Andy offered some great suggestions for things to do in the area. Would highly recommend.
What a beautiful hotel, visually stunning in a great location, the cafe / bar across the road is lovely, can be accessed by a delightful underground walk way. Breakfast impressive but expensive
