The resort is fairly new but the work the owners have done is excellent. The Bungalow was very comfortable, prices at the bar very reasonable and Dioni and Elvira are very friendly.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Lovely well designed hotel & bedrooms. Staff very welcoming, nothing was any trouble, felt like we were staying with good friends. Service and food at breakfast or dinner in the Tradition restaurant and Tapas bar were excellent. As recommended the cheesecake was sublime!
Thank you.

Very pretty hotel in a small village. Extremely friendly staff that made us and our dogs feel welcome. The village is very quiet, but perfect for walking the dogs and relaxing after a long day on the road.

I liked Juan the owner, the downstairs is tastefully done, nice coffee in the morning from a proper old school Gaggia coffee machine and crossants etc, all included in the price. Bed was comfy and warm, there was no noise from outside. Ezcaray is great.
But thank goodness the room was only 40 euros because I was disappointed with it. The room was cold (no aircon or heating) and the window was broken and wouldn't close properly. I put my coat on and eventually just went to bed to stay warm!
But the main problem was that I could hear the conversations from the couple next door. So please make sure you get a room with no neighbours if you want to sleep well. Shower ran hot and cold and shelves and TV were at a bit of a wonky angle.
There is a very big (and gentle) dog who is the focal point of the hotel so if you like dogs then great - but if you don't then you need to know this.
In short I would recommend this hotel to those on a budget but as long as you aren't really expecting a "hotel room". It might be just right if you've been in hostels or dormitories and want one step up.

This is the place to book to completely relax after the hike on the Camino to Belorado! The garden with swimming pool is fantastic and the community dinner is tasty and well-organised
