Hotel y Apartamentos La Lonja, hotel in Ponga

Offering a garden and river view, Hotel y Apartamentos La Lonja is located in Cangas de Onís, 33 km from The Lakes of Covadonga and 37 km from La Cueva de Tito Bustillo.

Very large bed, good shower, towels, etc, and everything clean and tidy. This is very good value accommodation. For UK visitors, note that the windows are covered by external roller shutters at night - do not try to pull the internal curtains closed. The external roller shutters are operated from inside by pushing a toggle down and lowering them using a flat band. Continental visitors will know this already, but in the UK it is unusual and many UK visitors will be confused! (It is necessary to lower the roller shutters because the outside lights are quite bright).

Don't miss it the views are breathtaking, it can feel a little constricted as the valleys have rock on either side with lots of beech forest. Driving is adventurous and you get nowhere quickly. Good fun if you like tight corners and hairpins!
