Much light, spacious, nice interior decoration. A great café in the building, washing facilities. The host was very friendly and helpful. Only a few minutes walk from Alicante tram.

The value for money was really good! the hotel is a bit outside the city centre but the trams are easy enough to navigate (to either the city centre or the beaches in Platja de Sant Joan) and the stop is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. the area is nice and quiet, but there is a shop nearby for food/snacks. there are other smaller beaches nearby. considering the amount we paid, the hotel room itself was really nice and spacious. the window was slightly below ground due to the mountains but it was private and we still had a decent view. would highly recommend to those travelling on a budget. also - you can walk from the city centre to the hotel, we did it at night and took around 40 minutes but it is along the beach so the views were nice. food at the hotel was nice, we had dinner and breakfast that was reasonably priced, and it was very easy to book.

I was in Alicante for a short stopover (1 day, 2 nights). The location is very convenient for my needs: close to the railway station and metro station, and a few minutes walk to the old city, major sights and the San Juan beach. The room was large and very clean (including the bathroom). I was on the 4th floor so it was quiet despite the hotel being in a busy neighborhood. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The Occidental Alicante is set in the centre of Alicante, 10 minutes’ walk from the beach and marina. It offers comfortable, air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs and a safe.
