The room was clean, compact, comfortable and the location was very good! Above all the staff was extremely helpful in every way possible, wether it was regarding the hostal or the town.
INSIDEHOME Apartments - La Casita de Úrsula is located in Palencia, 50 km from Valladolid Train station, 49 km from Casa-Museo de Zorrilla, and 200 metres from Teatro Principal.
It's a friendly town. Couldn't help noticing few people in 20-50 age group and many stores in the centre were shuttered.
The bank ATMs I tried demand €2.75 - €4.00 to withdraw cash, so I only used cards.
I'd like if more of the town were pedestrianised as cars were continually squeezing down the narrow streets.

A one night stop over is not fair to judge a location.

More time spent exploring would help give a better overview. Impressions of an evening walk to get food was that Palencia is a large town comprised of a cathedral and blocks of flats - not really fair perhaps to Palencia!

As we were only there for one night it’s difficult to give a proper review but we thought it was nicely middle market, there would have been lots more to see than we could fit in but what we did see we liked

We loved the street life, the buildings, the cafes and bars and we were lucky enough to be there during the Palencia festival which added to the whole experience. People were friendly and helpful. The town is easy to navigate with lovely old buildings and the very old cathedral was especially interesting.

I like the fact that pets were not allowed at this hotel. I have had some bad experiences in the past with pets in hotels and I feel that it is important that non pet owners have a choice of where they want to stay too.
The staff at this hotel were very helpful and friendly and the town centre was in good walking distance from the hotel.
This is a clean, modern hotel with parking, on the edge of Palencia. It's a Marriott, so you know what you're going to get. Everything works and is OK, and the staff are helpful. It's a good 20 minute walk into town, but there are some bars and a pretty good pizzeria nearby. Oh, and a petrol station on site!
This is a very good hotel, and very good value for money. It is within easy walking distance of the Palencia train and bus stations. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They have a very nice common kitchen and dining room downstairs. And very good that the reception desk is manned the whole day.
Exceptionally clean and comfortable place - management sent us clear instructions way before our arrival and everything was great from the start. Definitively recomended to all who wish to visit Palencia. There is a public (paid) parking just below the building which is really convenient.
Great location in the centre of Palencia, walking distance to many great restaurants. Room was very large, comfy and clean. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but the bakery next door had delicious pastries. Underground parking belonging to the hotel was a blessing.
Excellent, many clean rooms, and a kitchen with great accessories. Great value, we only got a small hotel room for the same price and here you're getting an entire flat!
Isabel was friendly and helpful always.
Also, the place has a huge television.
The AC Hotel is easy to find from the motorway and has both exterior and interior secure parking. It is a very modern hotel located in a retail park on the outskirts of Palencia. The restaurant served a good evening meal and breakfast.
Basic and old.
Very cheap and everything is a bit battered. Full of character.
Friendly (my Spanish isn’t great but they are patient.
Right in the centre of Palencia. The rooms are comfortable and have what you would expect.
Best choice for people who don''t like hotels. You have more space, small kitchen, electric kettle to prepare hot drinks. Quite place during a night. It was close to everywhere, grocery and supermarket right behind the corner.
The house is perfect for a family stay. It is situated on the border of Palencia city, reachable by car in 5 min. It has a beautiful garden and an outside pool. Overall, the house is exquisite and we enjoyed our stay a lot!
The breakfast was absolutely terrible!
Obviously cooked the day before! The only thing wrong apart from the parking! Very busy town NO parking anywhere! The hotel had underground parking but my car was too low so my fault!
The hotel was spotless and felt incredibly luxurious after staying in Albergues. The bathroom was beautiful too. But the best part: the people. Manolo was an absolute angel, so helpful and welcoming.
Location was second to none just the top of Palencia's high street
Good value for money
Staff was extremely helpful, courteous and honoured my requests when I ask for changing my room
