The best hospitality on the Camino! Santiago and Julia were exceptional, and the food was outstanding. They were so accommodating and suggested we walk to Palis de Rey in the evening -they picked us up in Palis de Rey and dropped us off at the same spot in the morning. Santiago is the best!

Gorgeous! The host and all the staff were amazing. The facility was beautiful and very welcoming. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was beautiful. Beds were comfortable, and the pillows were comfortable! The included breakfast was delicious and the staff drove everyone back to town right at the Camino trail!

Our room was spacious and had a kitchenette that we used to cook our own dinner. Loved the access to a washing machine.

It was so thoughtful that our cab picked us up at a grocery store so we could cook dinner in this beautiful stone home. When we arrived there was a warm fire in the stove. The house is darling.
HORRIBLE HOTEL. INFESTED WITH BED BUGS AND NO HEATER IN ROOM. AWFUL SERVICE. NO ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE IN TIMES OF NEED. DISGRACE TO THE CITY. HOPE THE CITY SHUTS THIS HOTEL DOWN.
WHEN YOU CALL THE FRONT DESK, THERE IS NO ONE AVAILABLE AND WHEN YOU CALL ON THE CELL PHONE, THEY SAY HEATER IS BROKEN OR MUNCIPALITY DOES NOT ALLOW HEATERS TO BE TURND ON IN ROOMS.

Of all our stops on the Camino from Sarria to here (...
Of all our stops on the Camino from Sarria to here (currently in Melide), Palas de Rei was the least interesting or exciting. Still, it had hidden gems in a hostal we found to eat dinner (there are not a lot of options) and returned for breakfast on our way out. Also, the laundry mat was a big plus and the driers worked really well. Dried a lot of clothes for 3 euros. Just have to ask around for change. The bar next door and the grocery store behind were so helpful.

A great place to stay, relax , have a well earned siesta after long walk from Portmarin 24.6 kms + Probably quieter in October when we visited but still found a good restaurant "Meson a Forxa" and had a delicious meal after 7 - early for Spanish but filled up rapidly . Lots of Camino walkers took break here.

A small town on the pilgrims way, the palas itself is 7 kilometers away.
Restaurants are very good and reasonably priced. 10 euros are enough for a person per day to be happy and even to try a milk sucking lamb baked in owen.

Small interesting town on the camino trail route (St James), not a lot to see but a good selection of bars and restaurants.
A few shops selling all sorts of things, so you could find what you need if required.
It was an absolute joy staying at Casa Bolboreta, a small family-owned hotel that's a bit off the camino (but they'll pick you up and drop you off). They'll make you feel right at home. The rooms were very nice, but the highlight was the dinner. Absolutely delicious. The owners are putting a nice modern spin on Spanish food and hospitality, with a focus on local ingredients, which is much appreciated when most restaurants on the Camino essentially have the same menu.
Patricia and the staff were kind and welcoming. The dinner menu at their restaurant was one of the best meals we had while in Spain. The care and attention to detail shows. Would highly recommend.
The only down side is that we booked this while walking the Camino Frances and it added 5km to an already long walking day in the heat. Just be aware when booking for your Camino. But it is worth the stay!
This little hotel is very well located on the Camino de Santiago and is ideal for a walker. It's easy to find. The room was spacious and comfortable and quiet. The welcome at the hotel was efficient and friendly. There are plenty of options for eating within a very short walk and there is a very good and friendly bar/pulperia/restaurant serving all day just next door.
Amazing stay. We are really thankful for how the owner received us.
We went with our dogs during the Santiago's way.
We have dinner at the hotel and was served and prepared by the owner of the property. Really good homemade food.
Recommendation and some chat with the couple was very kind and make our day.
Location close to restaurants and shops as well as town square and church. The hotel started operations on 10aug 2023 so everything was fresh and new. A basket of 4 oranges and 4 kiwis were a nice welcome gift. Receptionist is very responsive and likeable.
Beautiful setting and wonderful hotel, we really enjoyed our stay here. Had a great dinner on the terrace. We had an attic room in the main building, it was spacious and had air con. Staff were all lovely and very helpful and friendly.
Quaint old rectory made into a very modern clean and comfortable hotel without losing the history and charm of the old. The owner is the manager and is a classic host and quite a character. Personally greeting folks and carrying bags
Fantastic little hotel, great stop over during the Camino.
It was sunny the day we got there and we lay in the loungers in the grassed area and chilled.
The woman at the front desk was lovely also.
