Lovely presented hotel with nice rooms and excellent staff who were both courteous and friendly. The rooms were extremely adequate and the food at breakfast was all you could wish for. The first night we dined in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent and very well priced. There is a very good size pool and the hotel has a good exterior terrace. The beach is 2 minutes walk away. The hotel is approximately a mile from the port and old town area however this was a nice walk that enabled us to exercise daily. Highly recommended hotel.

Booked room only. Usual trick 'let me show you the room you've booked and an alternate'. Only 25 euros per night extra! Went for it. Bed really comfortable and shower and bath great. Quirky hotel, lots of art and curios displayed. You can feel the history. Staff really helpful and couldn't be better located.

This is a 3 star property and as such it covers the basics really well. Quiet and effective air conditioning unit. The bed was comfy. The bathroom small but contained everything I needed. Balcony. Located right on beach. Sea view. Quiet neighbourhood. Good restaurant/bar. All in all I thought it was very good.

Situated in the heart of Marina Alta, on the village of Gata de Gorgos, here you can enjoy an excellent climate all year around.

Possibly the best hotel I have stayed in. Wonderful location right on the lovely beach. Helpful staff. Clean, good atmosphere. Breakfast was a buffet, and very good. Half board gave a choice of lunch or dinner, which was the same menu for both. Three courses of the set menu (hotel is too small to do a buffet lunch/dinner). Always a meat or fish or veg option. Aspired to being gourmet. The food was Spanish, and I liked it, but I suspect a challenge to some Brits. Clientele wealthy, slim, 80% Spanish. Few smokers. Beach was clean, soft sand. 50m wide. Shallow sea, so warm water. Not crowded (this sandy beach goes on for about 100miles, so plenty of space)
