We came to stay at the Aparthotel Cal Marcal as we had a friends wedding in the area. The property was very clean with a nice pool and was a comfortable walk into town. The staff were so kind, helpful and attentive. It’s a small local hotel and had a lovely restaurant attached - it feels very welcoming. There’s a couple of great restaurants in town also and Puig Reig is a perfect area for wildlife walks and a proper hiking holiday…Even more reason to visit and stay at this very nice hotel!

Very convenient central location -easy walking distance. Guests given alternate access so not necessary to go through owner’s house. Very spacious. Lovely gardens & patio areas. great castle location, rooms are good but nothing fancy , views are incredible at the top of the Castle, nearby you have Cardona village so you can find 2 x good restaurants at the main plein, not lux but very good and cheap on price
