Lovely rustic base on the hillside just outside Montellano. Beautiful gardens that are even better in real life than the photos. We stayed on a windy rainy night so couldn’t make the most of the outdoor space but we had a roaring fire that did a great job of heating the house. We met the host in town and were accompanied to the Ranchito so we didn’t get lost, so don’t worry that the location showing on booking.com is the meeting point rather than the property address that is about 2km out of town.

A charming, bustling little town with its plethora of bars and restaurants, banks and boutiques. Montellano is a great place to spend a few nights - the locals are remarkably welcoming and the range of eateries from Michelin-bibbed restaurants to cheap tapas joints is enough to keep you satisfied for a week or longer. Add to that the magnificent surrounding countryside, from the rolling hills of the sierras to the Via Verde trail and you've got the perfect recipe for rural tourism at its best.

Montellano is a pretty small town with that small town feel.
Montellano is a pretty small town with that small town feel. The people seemed friendly and put up with two foreigners who spoke very little Spanish roaming around thier town for a week. This place is cute, it's full of white buildings, it has nice places to eat, it has a coop with delicious local produce.... but if you're there for more than a day or two you'll have to venture out. Ronda, Arcos, Seville (a bit of a drive) it's centrally located but not close to anything major.

Beautiful area and location! Very romantic and the most awesome sunset! Welcome with a smile and with a lot of kindness! The ‘hotel’ is from a French and Dutch couple. Swimming pool is nice and it’s close to the via verde 🚴♂️. Dinner is simple and nice and you can choose a bottle of wine with it (of course not included in the price of the hotel). Leo the dog 🐶 is cool! And thanks for the laundry service! You are amazing.
Last minute booking on the way to Seville & we were so happy we decided to stay. The hotel has such ambience, the views are stunning, the manager is lovely & so helpful with advice on anything you need. The pool was great, small bar on site & short walk into town for drinks & an amazing dinner at Restaurante KMO. If we had more time we would have stayed another night
I loved this hotel. It combined comfort with charm. And Beltran is a generous spirited host, who gave us wonderful information about the local area. Also the town has a wonderful feel of community, far from the tourist crowds. I just loved it!
The hotel was well taken care of. The host was excellent.
For us it was a cheap option for a Saturday night in comparison to other options in the nearby cities.
The parking is free and we were offered an upgrade to a bigger room at no cost.
I wish we could have stayed longer at this hotel. The host is extremely kind, the room was spacious and well-appointed, the bed and pillows are so comfortable, and the view at the top of the hill is terrific.
The owner Beltran was fantastic. I was traveling by bicycle and my bike broke down 8 miles from the hotel. He came out to get me and dropped me off at the local bike mechanic to get things fixed.
Was a very nice stay, the hotel made you really feel like you were in the heart of Andalusia. Beltran also helped wherever he could with whatever I needed. Will definitely be back!
The ambiance of the hotel, the hospitality of the host, the honor system for self serving beverages, and it was so easy to walk to delightful food and drink spots.
