We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Romana, a country hotel in a remote, tiny village. The facilities were excellent - our room was very comfortable, with wonderful views of the countryside and the Cantabrian Mountains in the distance. It was a very peaceful, therapeutic stay.

The Camino spirit is alive at this property! The family owned and operated hotel AND Albergues are the hardest working ever people. They ensure every single guest is cared for with a smile. Arrangements for a taxi were made for us the following day, in this small town a family member was called to take us to our next stage on the Camino. Above and beyond service and will recommend this property to fellow Pilgrims!

I loved this hotel and wish I could have stayed there longer. It was clean, comfortable, and so lovely. I loved my little terrace and the little self serve kitchen. I also indulged in a much needed reflexology massage and highly recommend it. My breakfast of granola, bananas and milk wax also a welcome change from the normal Camino fare. I wish I was back there right now!

The beds were very comfy, linen and blankets were provided. Bed cubicles had a light, electrical socket, and small shelf. Laundry facilities were nice, but expensive. Great location.

It was a gem! Right in the Camino. It’s at the beginning of the town, but since it has a bar and a restaurant, it is not necessary to walk all the way into town. The couple who manage the place were very friendly. It has a nice vibe. Blues music playing. Locals hang out there. It is also next-door to a church. The cost was one euro to go in… It is turned into a museum… well worth one euro!
