This modern hotel is located next to the marina in Mataró, 30 km from Barcelona. It offers an outdoor pool and stylish rooms with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV and sea views.

Villa Can Bagués, hotel in Mataró

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, Villa Can Bagués is set in Mataró. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi.

The view is fantastic, you can see beach side sunrise daily from your bed. As the landlord said, the house is designed by Gaudi as his first residencies, and it is quite large, enough for 14 people to engage here. The yard is large and everything is clean. Most importantly, when I asked if there is any shampoos and plastic bags, the landlord bought for me immediately! All pictures shown in the front page is real, and the place is even better than the picture.

Mataro is a fantastic beach town any time of the year. I would highly recommend a restaurant called Dem Dik. It is very close to the train station and Ousmane, the chef and owner, is fantastic. His good is great - super flavorful- and he attracts an interesting mix of people from all over. Fun snd laid back place for all ages:

It is a small city nearby the Barcelona or Sant Pol de Mar. The city center is nice, full of restaurants. I miss the street food a little bit. The life starts here around 7 AM. The city is full of playgrounds, it is good for families with children. We appreciate that. Beaches are beautiful and empty. Not so many tourists here as in Barcelona. Peaceful city. Also there is a swimming pool in the city with the small one for the little ones.

expect a siesta! :-) from approx. 2 to 7:00 p.m., almost all restaurants and shops are closed. Life here starts around 19:00. It was more difficult with small children, when they go to bed at 8 in the evening and are used to having dinner at 5:30 pm ;) But the city center is very nice, food is super tasty. Communication is mainly in Spanish.

Lovely area just outside of BCN, access to BCN is easy via a 40min bus OR 35min train journey. Train station in Mataro with the train running up and down the coast. Plenty of places to eat/drink on and off the beach. Not man shops, mostly boutiques however there is a large shopping mall 1hr walk (nice easy walk) OR a easy bus journey. This is my second visit here with work & I enjoy the area. Plenty of breakfast/coffee shops & places to work. Lovely long walk along the beach on a nice path

Mataro is one of those little towns, through Mediterraneo, its access from and to the airport from R1 - transferred to R2 you can do it in a good time planned and reliable when you need to catch a plane in Terminal One. The access to check-in is straight to terminal 2 need an internal bus to T1. Mataro is a lovely town a good place to eat and shop and easy to connect to Barcelona, In all, a good place to visit.

A very uniqe way to stay, compared to a hotel room. Enjoying the evenings sitting outside on the boat is absolutely great! Lex is a very cool guy who is easy to talk to and will do what he can to meet your requirements and answer your questions! Oh and by the way. You should definitely check out Dolce Vita, an Italian restaurant in the port. There were also a lot of fish activity right next to the boat, cool entertainment in and on itself. Added a photo of it.

The property is excellently situated for the old part of Mataró with all its shops and restaurants . The proximity to the beach and railway station make it a perfect place to stay (approximately a 10 minute walk to both ). The whole apartment is spotless and extremely well equipped with everything you need (including adequate utensils for cooking). The host went over and above our expectations providing great advice re:travel and restaurants etc.

I was staying here for 7 nights. I like the fact that check out is at 12 o clock and the fact that they finally changed my room after complaining 5 nights in the row. The Hotel was also clean and tidy and has area with microwave, kettle and tables where you can heat up and eat your own food. Coffee and scrambled eggs at breakfast were good. SPA was E15 for 1.5h but I did not use it.

we felt revitalized after our short stay and dinner was excellent on both nights that we dined there. Liked · the calming effect of this hotel once you enter the lobby was so nice, but the highlight was Mary who works at the spa, the best masseuse I have ever come across, would go back if only for that reason , I’d recommend to put this top of your list if staying at the hotel.

The place is spacious, has 2 bedrooms, each with its own toilet, and a nice private garden to chill out. It is 5min from Mataro train station - which can easily take you to Barcelona, or wherever you want to go. What I really liked was that it was clean. It had strong WiFi, and we could do some work while staying there.
