Finca Son Palou is a hidden gem tucked away in the mountainside of Orient. The road to get there is a bit winding, but once you're on the premises it is immediate peace and relaxation. We were warmly greeted with a tour of our suite and of the entire estate. The staff are attentive and were so so attentive - I think this was the most accommodative place I've ever stayed at. They really go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Breakfast is so yummy, plentiful, and fresh. I could not stop raving about how the eggs just tasted different than back in the states lol. And the pool is clean, serene, and the perfect place to bathe. All in all, this is my favorite place I've ever stayed at because of the attention to detail and wonderful staff. Thank you!

The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet area village that's an easy drive to hiking, sight seeing, and more. You can be hiking in 15 minutes or in Palma in 15 minutes. It's also an excellent area to start a bike ride from. Would recommend a car as it makes it easier to get around - they have a large parking area behind the hotel.
The historic property has a great blend of rustic charm with new updates. It's a very calm setting with trees surrounding the hotel and nice sitting areas out back around a shaded pool. The rooms have nice updates like modern bathrooms yet still feel true to the character of the building.
We opted to have dinner at the hotel both nights and it was lovely - not only was the food great but they were accommodating of my girlfriend's gluten allergy. Dinner was a blend of traditional / homestyle Mallorquin food with nice presentation - we really enjoyed both dinners and the breakfast we had at the hotel. A very welcome alternative to a restaurant and much appreciated variety!

It was a dream! We enjoyed every minute of our stay there. The staff was amazing, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. One of my favourite things was having breakfast outside with the amazing scenery and birds chirping.

Small, cozy hotel with rooms arranged around a beautiful little patio with a pool. Rooms are modern, clean, well A/Ced and well-kept. I especially enjoyed the breakfast that elevates a German to cloud 9 by offering wholegrain bread (plus fresh fruit & vegs, eggs, various sorts of granola, croissants, ...) bonus: hotel comes with both dog and cat (very well-behaved)

Lovely place to stay! Staff very welcoming, specially Maria Antonia! She was very knowledgeable about the Island and gave us wonderful tips to where to go, etc. Great energy! It was an amazing experience.

Sara and team at Hotel Rural were lovely. The property was well maintained, authentically Mallorcan and in an extremely quiet part of the island.
If you are looking to escape the busy Palma area and prefer to be tucked away in the mountains and surrounded by nature then will love this place.
We initially had room 15, however after a few guests checked out, Sara and team were kind enough to upgrade us to a bigger room (room 3) which we loved.
The property also included a nice pool, complementary breakfast and free parking. While breakfast was good, after the third morning, we would have liked more variety.
Also be mindful that this part of the island is approx 45 minutes to a 1 hour drive to many of the most popular beaches of the island.
In short, the hotel, property and staff were all great but be mindful of whether the location suits your itinerary.
