What an amazing place and right in the historic quarter of of town, alongside the Camino del Norte.
Wow, if this is a 2-star establishment, I am curios to see what 5-star accommodation looks like in Spain.
My room was very spacious and nicely furnished with antique furniture. I even had a little balcony, overlooking the old part of town.
The bathroom was very modern, including a shower tower with jet nozzles for a whole bodyspray experience.
The staff in the hotel was extremely nice and helpful.
Highly recommended! I defintely would stay here again.

Don’t like having to select breakfast choices the afternoon before! - but understand that because of few guests this would assist the hotel. However, breakfast was excellent - so much food provided that we had enough to take away for lunch! There are no other facilities in Torazo (that we could see) but the guide books fail to mention that it is a fascinating village with many unusual architectural features.

The host has really detailed instructions for how to get there and for what to see in the area, which are very handy because it's quite remote and you need to build your route smart in order to see the most of it. It was an interesting experience arriving to the accommodation and finding out that it's one street with only 3-4 houses and a dozen of cats on top of a mountain. We really enjoyed our breakfast and the clever selection of ham/cheese. The house is very authentic and we glad to have experienced that during our visit to Asturias.

Our host Pedro was a marvel. His property was both immaculate and full of beautiful design elements. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. We loved the quietness of the location with stunning scenery all around. Our stay was somewhat complicated by some health issues and Pedro went out of his way to ensure that we had the help we needed. We would highly recommend.

Everything! It was tastefully decorated, clean and it had a very good, welcoming feel.
I would like to add, for people who might have read a person comment who claimed to be “very scary” because they couldn’t lock the door from inside; that’s total nonsense, if you take a second to verify, you can see that once the door is closed, it automatically locks, so it cannot be opened from the outside; unless you have a key, of course.
This place is wonderful and perfectly safe for a single woman.

Our room was bigger than expected, clean and modern.
There was a launderette across the road which was handy for us on the Camino del Norte.
Hotel Alameda is situated in Villaviciosa, 20 km from Gijón and 36 km from Oviedo. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar.

A good-sized room with a lovely view of sun-lit hills behind the town. Our bikes were secured in the garage behind/below the hotel and staff were careful about opening and closing the doors remotely. Staff were very friendly and helpful - we landed on the day of the town party and they pointed us to all the activities going on. Breakfast was good with lots of choice
