Nice, clean room. Good beds. Very friendly and helpfull staff at the reception and restaurant. A place where you can have a lot of fun, certainly with kids. The restaurant looked like you were on an old ship, you felt like being in the movie “Pirats of the Carabbien, very nice setting, just Johnny Depp was missing.

We loved the location, very peaceful, we enojyed listening to the birds singing in the morning while drinking coffe on the terrace. Inside really cosy, great atmosphere, very relaxing. Everything you could need is there, both in the bathroom (soap, shower gel, shampoo, slippers) and the kitchen, from cooking utensils to yummy cookies ;). Very kind and communicative owners, the response is always very fast.

Local swimming pool was great - adults 3 euros and kids 2 euros for all day and you could come and go throughout the day. Cheaper if you just go in the afternoon.
DIA - local mini-market, well stocked, offering fresh bread and pastries daily (the nicest and cheapest pastries we found in town). Although we like to support local business the Patiseries weren't great - not as good as DIA for quality. Closed all day Sunday.
We ate at Las Forales Hotel a couple of times, the food was lovely and on par locally on price. There is a Pizzaria half way down the High Street on the right whose food was fab and they also offer take-outs. La Vina, just off the High Street was another lovely restaurant, more pricy than anywhere else in town, but definitely worth the extra cost.
There's not too much to do in San Rafael, we were visiting family who live there, but if you have a car it's definitely worth the drive to Segovia (about 30 mins). Lovely town with an ancient aquaduct and also the building that was the inspiration for the Disney Palace, you'll see why when you get there.
You're surrounded by mountains so you can do some lovely walks, not that they are sign posted - you'd need to ask the locals...but go prepared because it's very hot in summer and deeply snow covered in winter!!!

San Rafael is a spectacular little town.
San Rafael is a spectacular little town. Looks like an England town . House was super nice and comfortable. Has everything including games room . I would recommend it rented for 01 week. Host was excellent. Highly recommended.
This is the worst hotel to find as when you put the latitude and longitude into the Satnav as I did you end up 20 km away in small village I was looking for this hotel for three hours before I found it when passing in a car you just can't see the place a sign might be of help....having said that now I know where it is I'd stay again.
Fantastic wonderful incredible hotel, my favourite in Spain. Lovely place to spend some time as a couple. The room as amazing, the breakfast was great, and the little extras in the room just add to it.
Recommend to Any couple looking for time away or looking to celebrate something.
The rooms were excellent, big ones with 2 separate rooms. We even received a baby bed that we had asked without charge. We did not take breakfast, so we cannot offer any feedback on this. The hotel is next to a forest area, very nice for walking.
Beautiful location, very close to trail tracks and to San Rafael center for some last minute shopping. Super nice and helpful host, the villa is beautiful, almost brand new, with all possible amenities you could wish for. We loved it!
The size of the rooms was great, staff wonderful, the swimming pools were great.
A bar outside the hotel with fast food and also exellent restaurant aswell. Easy to find , great parking. Loved it. Great price too
