Great location, near beach, shops ,restaurants. The bungalow was very clean , much bigger than I thought, and has everything you would need while holidaying here. Rosario was an excellent host, such a lovely and attentive person. Thank you, Rosario & family . Highly recommended

The location was excellent:- right on the beach, with shops and restaurants under the apartment. Really lovely views from the large balcony. The apartment was very roomy and contained everything needed for self-catering. The furniture and bedding were quite new and there was plenty of cupboard space. The location was excellent even though it was on the main square with lots of restaurants and a children's fairground every evening, but as the apartment was so well soundproofed it caused no problem.

La Mata is a nice small place with everything you need as a tourist: the banks, post office, bakeries, supermarket, pharmacy, little shops and lots and lots of restaurants; there is not much regional entertainment/ artistic shows, dances etc but perhaps I am not well informed; perhaps I would know more if I had stayed a bit longer or if I had stayed in the season.
There are lots of interesting places around La Mata eg. the monastery in La Nevalda, the city of La Leche, a boat trip to las Tabarcas, the city of Guardamar, the city of Orihuela, Alicante I Torrevieja.

La Mata to us was just perfect. Our stay was very enjoyable.
La Mata to us was just perfect. Our stay was very enjoyable. The location in where we stayed was close to the supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, restaurants and of course the beach. The bus stop was just around the corner which made it easy for our trips to Torrevieja. I would highly recommend La Mata.

la mata was great,a bit windy on the beach, but it was March, still plenty of bars and restaurants open,very nice polite people,had a lovely time.
if your looking for a more Spanish feel and tradition La Mata will do for you.

The patio door exploded during a storm while I was closing...
The patio door exploded during a storm while I was closing the door. Glass went everywhere. Could have caused a fatal accident. Glazer had to be brought in to replace glass.
Bathroom washbasin and bath leaked water onto bathroom floor. Plumber had to be brought in to repair it.
This apartment is a dump, never upgraded and unfit for habitation. Also has a bad smell.
I left a week early as I couldn't stay in such conditions.

Lovely town I've been coming here for 30 years. Very Spanish, I've met some lovely Spanish people who over years have become my friends. If you want a quiet family location La Mata is the place to go.

La Mata is pretty nice but mostly seniors and families with babies. Not the best location if you want to party since everything closes at around 00.00 o'clock. Pretty good restaurants, ok supermarket and bus stops to take you to Torrevieja or Alicante. Most restaurant and hotel staff don't speak english.
Fantastic 3 bedroom apartment, beautiful location overlooking La Mata park and the lake . It was spotlessly clean and was so well equipped . The private roof terrace is huge, with table and chairs , sun loungers and furniture and has spectacular view, you can see the sea . Olivia and John, the hosts were extremely helpful . Lovely welcome pack of wine, water and olive oil and the cupboards were so well stocked . Highly recommend a stay here

The best location- next to beautiful, kilometers long beach and La Mata village with shops, restaurants, bars etc. Apartment has literally everything you might want for even couple of weeks stay. Amazing view on the dunes and sea.- loved to enjoy sunrise with a cup of tea. Special thanks to David who made our check in/check-out and our stay in general comfortable. He was very responsive and accommodating- thank you!

Greg the host was excellent. the property has absolutely everything you might need. lots of uk 🇬🇧 TV stations. very safe and secure. lots of restaurants nearby. beach is stunning. bus stop right outside apartment block to Torrievieja and just €1.50 / person. i cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely come back.
It is in a very good location opposite a great beach and next to some excellent bars and restaurants, we liked the whole place as it had all the facilities and loads of room for 5 adults and 3 girls age 2 and 5 that you might need.
Massimo the owner was always on hand and the keys could be located and left in the restaurant next door.

apartment was in an excellent position on the main La Mata square overlooking the sea with continuous sounds of the waves breaking. The apartment was spotless with every amenity required. Both my wife and I could not fault it.
Great location just a short walk from the beach and the la Mata town square with places to eat and drink. A good supermarket, ice cream parlour and bakery closed as well.
