Location is very good when travelling down to Southern Spain. The hotel is ideally located in Santa Elena next to the highway A4. The hotel is at the edge of the lovely parque natural de despeñaperros, and it is easily accessible via car, bike and/or by foot. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, a basic accommodation that is simple without any frills, but it is also clean and comes with complimentary continental breakfast.
Set in a historical 16th century building, Palacete Maria Rosa is a rustic-style hotel in Baños de la Encina, a small village 50 km from Jaén. All the rooms feature air conditioning.

The location was easy to find being very near the motorway which was ideal as a stopover. The hotel is impressive and overall had a good ‘feel’. Restaurant meal in the evening was excellent.
