Famara has one of the best beaches on Lanzarote. The town is lovely and laid back with a 'surfers vibe' with some nice, small bars and restaurants. The beach is wonderful as well. We think that it is worth hiring a car though!

I loved the views, the beach, and the village which had a nice mix of tourists and local residents.
It was quiet at night, as most people were sporty (surfers, walkers cyclists etc) and there were no noisy drunken parties.
It was probably one of the best places for me to stay.
There were several good cafes and restaurants + 2 Supermarkets.
I think I would come back in October ,when the weather is a bit warmer and not quite so windy

Famara is a quiet, laid back, relaxing location. It's popular with surfers, as the beach and surf are both excellent. It's also ideal for just chilling out on a break. It's not modern, but has a charm of it's own. Very clean, and the roads have blowing sand at times - but this is part of the attraction. No traffic jams or loud clubs etc like the main tourist centres elsewhere.
It was just what we wanted.

The house was perfect & my overall experience was highly positive....although Northern Lanzarote would be a couple of degrees Celsius cooler (on average per day) than Southern Tenerife (i.e. where I had just come from before traveling to Famara in Lanzarote). Also, in order to do a really BIG shopping, in a large supermarket, you'll need to travel to another town (either by bus or car), as Famara itself is quite small. But that's just the way I liked it : not too big & very quiet at night!

awesome! very long and broad beach, great scenery and not too many tourists. the tourists and the canarian people are friendly and do the best if you ask something. they speak merely english nor german, keep that in mind. you have to speak a few words spanish, but it's ok.

Such a chilled out place on the NW coast of Lanza, renowned for the surf, and the surf lifestyle. It delivers on both counts, with the long, wide beach home to stunning waves set to a glorious backdrop, and the town has plenty of cafes and restaurants ranging from tapas finger food to gourmet delights. Lovely vibe, great town.
Very clean, great neighborhood, very local, peaceful, close to the beach, lots of surfing schools and the neighbor, whom Elena (host) knows, called Borja, is the sweetest surf instructor ! He can give you tips and even discounts at some surf board rentals.
Close to all amenities, walking distance to the beach.
Elena is super responsive and very nice !
Everything you need: great wifi, washing machine, shampoo, shower gel, towels, hangers, cooking, two sets of keys, key box, etc.
Patchy (the host) was fantastic . I was on a cycling trip and needed somewhere chilled to rest the legs for a few days . Felt genuinely very welcome right away and decided to stay a extra night because of the good vibes . Jennifer in the surf cafe was also great , I definitely recommend the place .I look forward to returning . Thank you patchy and Jennifer for a lovely stay . Peace
Jack the host is very warm and hospitable. The place is the perfectly located between all waves in Famara, you can check the waves every morning from your bedroom window. The house is clean, homely, and well maintained with all basic amenities. Wifi works perfectly, Jack even fixed the Wifi in the bedroom so you can access it there too.
It's just everything you need.
Perfect central yet calm location within Famara, with restaurants, a shop, and beach right at hand. Amazing price/value ratio. A well equipped kitchen & cleaning cupboard (I especially liked the hair dryer, blender and washing machine). There was everything for proper cooking.
I also value the touch of sustainability with soap and similar.
We loved it because it was non-touristic location, other than surfers which was in proximity to everything on the island. The bungalow itself is a 2 minute walk from the Famara beach which was a great thing for the whole family but especially for our 2 young daughters.
Jose, the landlord, was very responsive to any questions we had.
I can't express how perfect Casa Elisa is for a surf trip with a group of friends! The house is incredibly clean and comfortable with a lot of space. Its 2 mins walk from the supermarket, local bar, rentals and 10min walk to the beach. Jordivellido is a great host and we will definitely be back! Love this place. Muchos gracias
Our second trip here and we'll definitely return. Appreciated the pool, table tennis, bikes, the peace and the proximity to the amazing beach. Caleta de Famara is a lovely small town with great bars and places to eat (incl veggie options), but it's also quiet and not too touristy.
Everything was clean and in perfect condition, felt like being at home. Georgina was very welcoming, attentive and made sure all our needs were met. When coming back to Lanzarote we will definitely choose Casa Georgina again, 10/10 would recommend to everyone. Hasta pronto!!
Wonderful apartment, perfect for surf locations and forgetting about the rest of the world. Peaceful and serene. If you want modern luxury look elsewhere, if you want to truly escape to the sea in a fabulous place...perfect. Great host and everything you actually need.
I would have appreciated a Nespresso coffee machine in the room but the lullaby coming from Famara beach and the stars above your head worth every single cent. And no wind at all over there, which was an unexpected surprise :)
