This is modern, fresh accommodation and despite the out of town industrial area it was quiet. It uses keypad technology to access the main door and room which is quicker than collecting a traditional key.

Countryside surrounding Jumilla is at times breathtaking but other than going to visit bodegas, Jumilla is not too riveting. Much of town quite run-down.
On the other hand we found one great restaurant and saw quite a few others.
It is a good place to base yourself to sight-see the surrounding area

Jumillia is in the centre of an excellent wine region and the local bodegas have tours of their facilities that cumulate with tastings of their wines. Pre book to avoid disappointment. The restaurants in town are very good and serve the local wine at reasonable prices.
It's good for the town of Jumilla but international travelers expecting a certain level even from a budget hotel will not be fully satisfied. No coffee maker in the room, air conditioning from a noisy wall mounted unit, old bed cover, few outlets in the room and those without international plugs, no USB charging port, no breakfast, etc...
Still, it was OK, clean, and in a good central location. I'd stay there again, at least until somebody builds a hotel to international traveler standards.
We were upgraded at no extra cost to a larger room with a few chairs and a fridge. The double bed was larger than average and was very comfortable. The man at the reception desk when we arrived was very helpful, telling us the best places to eat and drink. Just a few meters around the corner from the hotel is bar Chiki, which does excellent tapas at very low prices.
The Pio XII is an old hotel (like many others in Spain) that has been extensively modernised (but is still, obviously, an older hotel). But it was very clean , perfectly comfortable and very good value - especially the enclosed parking for which one often has to pay (a lot) more in Spain. Well located - easy to reach by car, but within walking distance of the centre.
Hotel has a very good location within easy walking distance of everything Jumillia has to offer, it was easy to find and the secure underground parking a bonus. The rooms are clean with everything you require but a little dated and would benefit from a refurb.
Beautifully furnished apartment with great details. Jumilla is all about the wine and this hotel does it right! Jumilla is also hot in the summer and the A/C is wonderful. The internet is also fantastic!
Breakfast facility next door to hotel was very good and also elevators to garage. The location was also very good being just a short walk to the centre of town.
Centrally placed in Jumilla. Clean and tidy. Spacious. Friendly positive people! Nice wine-tasting in the evening. Restaurant at ground level very good!
