Everything. From the moment we arrived I was in love with the property. Everything was just perfect. Every detail was thought of so carefully and very tastefully done. It was hands down one of the most beautiful places I ever stayed and I have travelled lots. Anything you needed, it was there. The owners were wonderful and very friendly too.

The setting, the peace and quiet, the breakfast, the staff, the relaxing vibe of treating the place like your home. Dinner one evening was served to us as if we had our own in-home, personalised dining service. The personal attention and friendliness of Bernadette is very special.
Only very small issue is that anything else is a small drive away. Iznajar is around 10-15 mins drive, not far at all, but if you like to walk to other places to eat then this isn't really possible, but of course this is also part of the beauty of the property, whihc is why I am not saying we didn't like this aspect of it!

This is a large family home located near the highest point in the village, next to the picturesque church & castle offering excellent views. The property is very big and well equipped. It has all you would need in the kitchen plus a pantry that includes the basic foodstuffs from previous occupants (salt, pepper,oil, tea, coffee, etc). There are 2 supermarkets in the village as well as a bakery, butchers & fruit/veg shop, all within easy walking distance.
The patio is a wonderful space where you could eat (easy access to kitchen) or sit in or out of the sun. The inflatable pool at the end of the patio was perfect - it was very hot when we visited, often around 40C, so the pool was much appreciated.
The house is very comfortable and Isa obviously takes great care over the property, leaving flowers and fresh fruit upon your arrival, as well as a very nice olive oil from the local co-op.
Isa is the perfect host, very kind and exceptionally helpful, ringing around to find details for any inquiries we had and even volunteering to come with us to act as translator. She obviously takes great pride in her family home and village and this shows and was much appreciated by us.

It is very pretty with surrounding mountains and olive groves and wonderful views of the lake. There are some lovely bars and restaurants and the castle is fantastic to visit and only 2 euros! The only possible downside is that the steep hills may be difficult for people with limited mobility.

You will need transport to visit the area . It's a lovely walk down to the
reservoir with a lovely beach and a couple of bars that do lovely food.
There are lots of sports in front of hotel as well as a running track .
Also the lovely small town of Iznajar with the a castle overlooks all.
well worth a visit.

This is our 2nd visit across 8 yrs and we love it.
This is our 2nd visit across 8 yrs and we love it. Would come back again as its one of our favourites, little town with white washed buildings, Moorish castle it's history & most of all little courtyards covered with pots of flowers on walls, fences, verandah's with the most stunning views of the Moorish town, rivers, dams & hills of olive fields set high in the hills. Iznajar we love you!

It's very zen and peaceful. Lovely atmosphere. There wasnt a tv in rooms but this wasnt an issue as it was a peaceful place. Swimming pool was lovely. Home made food presented and served was excellent. You need to be pet friendly as they have two lovely dogs. Surrounded by mountains and lovely views .
Carolina and Jean were friendly professional and there when you need them. A Very dedicated couple.

A very pretty town rising out of the lake, you need to be reasonably fit to walk around some of the hilly streets. The views are wonderful from the miradors.
The town may benefit from a restaurant or two nearer the base of the town maybe offering a pizza for example. We didn't get the touristy vibe, maybe that's how the town wants it.
Overall well worth a stay.
Wonderfully renovated building with original elements, designed in a playful and elegant way. The room was facing the cliff and valley and we could hear birds singing in the morning. Very comfortable bed and the room was super clean.
Breakfast was made by Ruben and his wife - carefully prepared and served on the outdoor terrace, we could even enjoy their home-made banana bread!
Parking facilities right outside of the hotel.

Had a wonderful few days at La Pluma. Accommodation was excellent and very comfortable and the location was great for us. Joy and Sham were excellent hosts and looked after us well. Lovely property - very quiet, but close enough to Iznajar to have a beer or a meal. We managed to get to drive to Granada (Alhambra) and Cordoba) which was easy driving on empty roads. Overall a perfect few days in lovely accomodation.
Fantastic location - overlooking the lake. The hotel rooms were large, we had double aspect windows, very comfortable and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and answered all our needs. It was very quiet when we stayed but the layout is large enough to accommodate many guests, in its lovely grounds with plenty of loungers, tables and chairs. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, relaxing by the pool.
The location was perfect, beautiful scenery.
The hosts Kath and Kevin was very helpful throughout our stay, always there to help. Beds were very comfortable. And kitchen well equipped. Ideally located to visit the lovely village of iznajar and the lakes.
Highly recommended.
