The location is perfect for travellers as it is in the border between France and Spain. We received very detailed instructions about the check-in process (which is automatic) before our arrival. Breakfast was nice with many options to choose from, and the staff was very polite and helpful. The amazing view is the highlight of this property.

A wonderful town with a lot of character and great views of the river/bay. I would love to go back. The restaurant area is nice, as is the walking area by the water. Find free parking near the large grocery store and walk in. Hard to find parking

There were things I wanted to do and see but the weather wasn’t great. I think it’s over hyped and over priced in relation to the food. San Sebastián was much better and had more choice and was much better value. The area is of course beautiful and the old town was worth seeing but it does have its limitations.

Lovely place to use as base for day trips to Biaritz an San Sebastiaan. It also has a wide sandy beach, lovely promenade and wide leafy pedestrian walkways. The old town and the colourful old buildings are very interesting.

Very nice little town right at the border with France, giving you the opportunity to visit places at the both sides of the Basque country. It has very nice sandy beach at the end of the quite a long walkway where people walk, ride bikes, rollers, skates. You can enjoy sitting at the nice cafeterias around the city, but the main experience is actually the medieval, fortified city center located few minutes walk from the sea. Narrow streets, beautiful stone buildings, nice restaurants, small town squares. Definitely a city worth of visiting!

1)Hondarribia is a place I liked very much, lots to see and do and a beautiful harbour for swimming.
2) Take a little ferry to France, have lunch and have a drink at one of the many bars / restaurants.
3) You MUST go to the La Hermandad de Pescadores, what a wonderful experience, delicious food, nice wine and very pleasant staff .
4) I thought the Pintxos were very boring compared to what's on offer in San Sebastian

There are numerous excellent tapas bars and restaurants both on San Pedro and up in the old town which is very pleasant and has great views. The quality and variety of seafood is fantastic. The supermarket shopping in nearby Irun is very competitive price-wise.
Classic Basque caserio very close to Hondarribia and Irun with some great restaurants and tapas bars within cycling, or walking, distance. The hosts are very friendly and Rosa has a wealth of stories and information about the area (you'll need to speak Spanish, or Basque though...). Superb breakfast, including delicious local pastries, served on the terrace with great views over the countryside. Great position for cycling up Jaizkibel (an imposing local mountain) or along the Bidasoa river 'via verde', or into France.
Hondarribia is a really nice little town and Obispo a great place to stay in located in the old town and with some terrific views of the surrounding area. One of our rooms was on the top floor looking over the airport and, if you like plain spotting, we got to see 3 landing/taking off. The room was very nice and well equipped. Reception was very nice and helpful.
A beautiful hotel with by far the best views I have seen. I stayed for a night while driving, so did not have a chance to use a swimming pool, or enjoy walking around. But even then it was a great value. Friendly staff, easy to check-in (online), comfortable rooms and good breakfast on a terrace with a fantastic view on the city.
The owners were extremely kind. We immediately felt at home. They even guided us to a farm nearby so that our son (2 years old) could sit on a tractor! The room was also very clean and the location is perfect. Close to the beach and San Sebastian as well!
Our second stay here and just as good as the first. Beautiful location, friendly owner, perfect room. Great town to walk around in the evening and great dog walking along the coast from the nearby lighthouse, or from the hotel for something shorter
The owner was so friendly and welcoming! Central location in a beautiful seaside village. The private room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Minutes away from San Sebastian airport. Highly recommend!
First-class hotel with wonderful, warm and caring staff. A beautiful, lovingly maintained and exquisitely decorated space, gorgeous rooms, fantastic breakfast, simply perfect little spot in Hondarribia.
Wonderful welcome. Attractive hotel with lots of attention to detail in the rooms. Just very warm and comfortable with an excellent location in the town and close to parking. Will definitely return.
The hotel with the most spectacular views in Hondarribia.
The rooms are very cute and clean. and not narrow.
Very friendly and kindness staff.
The bed is comfortable.
I highly recommend this hotel.
Great hotel that is in the old part of the city. Room felt like you were staying in a castle. Tapas bar next door and short walk to centre of the old town. Great breakfast.
The view was exceptional. You cannot call the breakfast VERY good. It is a GOOD breakfast. We liked the hotel very much and would stay there again on my next visit.
Nice hotel, great location. Walking distance to city center and bars and restaurants. Good WiFi. Decent buffet breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.
