I received a warm welcome, despite arriving somewhat the worse for wear having walked with my heavy rucksack u the hill from the town because there were no taxis. Staff are friendly and hospitable, the hotel is at its best when they are most relaxed.
The room was spacious and comfortable with beautiful views access the valley. It is set in wonderful place. Comfortable bed.
The spa is excellent, the indoor pool is very large and very warm. A wall of windows means that it is full of light. Opening hours are from 7.30am to 10pm at night. It was a cold and rainy day and the outside jacuzzi was not hot enough to cope with volume of rain that day. The steam room was warm.
I ate well from the à la carte menu at dinner: a range of different options, and vegetarians well catered for.

We are two self-catering 70+ year olds from Australia travelling around Portugal and Spain in a hire car for a couple of months. We stayed for one night in a bungalow for 4 adults – number 7.
We had a bed, somewhere to cook a lovely hot shower, & a great reverse cycle air conditioner/heater which kept us snug. We had no bedding or towels so had asked to hire them. We weren’t charged. We didn’t have matches to light the gas cooker but reception gave us a box.
There were 4 welcome chocolates on the table.
El Florido is a charming mountain hotel located in the small town of Sort, in the Catalan Pyrenees. It has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and large gardens.

The Florido is a reasonably smart hotel set in a quiet part of town, a few minutes' walk from the centre of Sort, with its bars & restaurants. We found the location convenient because we could park our motorcycles on its driveway, discreetly out of sight of most people in the town. There is a very pleasant terrace and lawn at the front and there is a good looking outdoor swimming pool. We liked the bar, the outside seating, and the breakfast.

The owners were very accomodating and breakfast and dinner was good. If you want something that isn't on the menu they will try and provide it for you.
A bonus is it also has a swimming pool.
the Hotel is just perfect .. Very calm place with a gorgeous view. The rooms are very confortable and very very neat ! the cleanliness is just perfect .. This hotel has few rooms which leaves a familial atmosphere. the Food , from the breakfast until the diner is just great .. the cook is the best !, it is handmade by the owner and with various meals every day .. we really do recommend this very nice , quiet hotel ... probably one of the best we did ....
