The hotel is on the edge of the old town so a great location. The rooms were quite small but we knew that when we booked and more than adequate for a short stay. The bathroom was nice and very clean, the whole place is very clean. They also kept our luggage safe as we arrived prior to check in. Despite it's location there was no noise to disturb us at night

A great neighbourhood to experience authentic life in another country and culture. Weekends are festive in the area with lots of activity at the local bars and cafes. Not many tourists around though... more elderly population noticeable.
As for the location, there was very less delivery companies around (like just 1 :) ). Finding food or restaurant after 18:00 was a bit difficult. Derio is a small district however most of the technological companies are there. So at the working hours there was no problem however for dinner you have to have a car to go and eat. Or you just have to take the same restaurant beside the facility.
Another problem was the mosquitos around. At one night I just killed 8 of them.

We picked this hotel because of the location. We had to catch an early flight the next morning, so staying near the airport was most convenient to get most rest. The staff reserved a spot for us on the first shuttle bus. The shower was spacious, the bed was very comfortable. Perhaps the best we've had during our vacation and most important reason for the score. Because of rest.
there is nothing to not like! absolutely loved the hotel, the breakfast, the staff, the ease of transportation to the airport and to the city. we were in Bilbao for just one night, so the ease to travel to the airport was great. we had an early morning flight out and the breakfast (sumptuous) was laid out before 6 am. the staff is excellent too
We loved the convenience of the restaurant next door and the offering of a bar within the hotel. We also appreciated the close proximity to the airport. (We've stayed at "airport" hotels before that were miles and miles from the airport.)
Staff seemed a bit overworked, but they remained pleasant and professional. The room was clean and cozy.
Hotel seems to very new and almost boutique. Very close to the airport and best of all, free shuttle service. Just call in to get picked up. Continetal breakfast is available for a $7 Euro fee. Would stay again.
Overall, the hotel is nice with all of the necessary amenities. It is not very close to the centre of Bilbao, but it is located just 5 minutes from the airport with a taxi.
