It was a unique property that had been beautifully restored and the owners were able to share the history of it. It had a small restaurant which serve decent food and a lovely breakfast.

Excellent modern/new house finished/fitted to a high standard. Ideal for larger family / group of friends who can take all of the house (4 bedrooms I think). 2 balconies directly overlooking river would be ideal for family social time. Lovely kitchen & dining area. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Host was very welcoming (but doesn't live on-site.)
Unique experience in rural Spain. A small hilltop castle converted as boutique hotel. Very good breakfast. Restaurant for lunch and dinner. We tried dinner two times - excellent food and wines from Ribera de Duero. Large public areas with nice furniture. Bonus is the view from the roof. There is also handy side swimming pool on the roof, not so many sunbeds by number, but also not so many customers trying to use them (at least when we used it twice in the afternoon)
My recent stay at The Residencia Real del Castillo de Curiel was nothing short of spectacular, setting a new standard for the picturesque views of the vineyards were both impressive and memorable. This hotel combines historical charm with modern sophistication, creating a unique ambiance that appeals to all travelers. This prime location allows for such tranquility —a rare find. Highly recommend this wonderful hotel['/
Ancient 9th century castle perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the small village of Curiel de Duero. We had a large suite with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. There was a winding steep road up to the castle and plenty of parking. Castle has a lift to all levels. Great internal enclosed courtyard for relaxing and lounge/bar and excellent restaurant for dinner and very good breakfast.
The position of the hotel is spectacular and, of course, the hotel itself is a restored and converted castle with lots of historic character. There is space for parking, a very good dining room and, most enjoyable of all, a roof top terrace with pool and wonderful views towards Pena Fiel. Splendid!
This is a simply stunning location and the hotel/castle is magnificent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food at dinner and breakfast were excellent. Unreservedly recommended.
A spectacular setting and really interesting hotel! We went up on to the roof and watched griffin vultures circling around the turret. The room was comfortable and the food was good value.
Hotel have excellent position to look on Spain countryside. To visit Penafiel castle is only 15 min. to drive.Hotel have inside very good restaurant with good service and dishes.
