Simple, clean and newly renovated property — right on the beach! Loved the huge windows and ocean views. Room was nice size with large bathroom — bathtub was a bonus!!! Super friendly and English speaking staff made our stay very comfortable.

Comillas is a lovely small town with beach and the astonishing Capricho de Gaudí, well with a visit.
Our host, Jorge, could not have been more helpful with suggestions of places to visit and even accommodating us the watch the World Cup on arrival! We highly recommend it, especially for a family.

Lovely little town not too far from the motorway.
Lovely little town not too far from the motorway. Perfect place to overnight en route to Santander or use as a base to explore the area. Walkable if you’re OK with steep bits. Nice beach within walking distance. Good selection of bars and restaurants but worth noting that as in many touristy places out of season many of them are closed in the evenings. In future at this time of year (October) we’ll have our main meal during the day and snack/graze in the evening.

Apartment was very good, apart from beds.
Apartment was very good, apart from beds.
Everything was clean (10) and well-equipped.
When scaffolding is removed, access to and use of private parking will be a bonus.
However, the garden was untended, with unusable chairs, table, clothes-drier etc. BBQ was full of cigarette ends.. Not a welcoming area.

It’s a lovely town with plenty to see and do. We stayed during a Fiesta and the atmosphere was great. We were on motorbikes and this stay was for the last 2 nights prior to sailing for England. We would certainly stay here again and use it as our base for rides into the Picos and also along the beautiful coast.
The hotel is light and clean and the staff were very good. I heard that a refresh may be happening this winter which would be good although not really necessary.

Plenty of choice for restaurants, and nice sea front plus historical sites.
Nearby is the Bodegas Miradorio which is worth a visit as it's a different presentation to many of the other vineyards we visited, as are the wines.

It was a lovely Spanish resort with plenty to see and do and a great selection of restaurants and places to eat. As we went in September the weather was good and the town wasn't too crowded! Nearby some lovely drives and the scenery in this part of Northern Spain is fabulous! Can't wait to go again.
We stayed one night only on our way to Comillas.
The hotel is quiet and secluded, with nice view (if you are given a room at the right side).
It's far from the town center, you need your own wheels (like we had).
The room and the private bathroom were quite good and clean, all amenities working.
The host an exquisite person, lovely and amiable person, easy communication (little English spoken).
Located on the beach and with easy access to the town the Josein is ideal for a short or longer stay. We spent the final three days relaxing there at the end of the holiday. Also the hotel is convenient if travelling to Spain via Santander or Bilbao. Every bedroom has a sea view with a big window. Comillas also is full of cultural delights.
We expected a two bedroom apartment but were allocated a three bedroom apartment, which was excellent. Very spacious, comfortable and well equipped with a secure underground parking space. Very quiet location but only a 10-15 minute easy walk to the centre of Comillas. Absolutely excellent.
Only stayed one night on our way to Galicia but a good choice and would stay again for a longer period. Hotel is a good location for a walk into Camillas which is a lovely town. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely big room, very clean and spacious bathroom with plenty of clean towels.
The property is perfectly situated on the Camino and close to everything in Comillas. The breakfast selection was great - buffet style with yogurt, multiple fruit, cereal and bread options, fresh orange juice and eggs and bacon made to order. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was included in our reservation (but not always) and was the standard European style breakfast. Our room was nice and had a balcony, although not all rooms have this feature (some just had skylights). The hotel employees were kind, and the front desk employees spoke English.
The location was great with an easy walk into the town square for bars, coffee and restaurants . Walked to all the sights around Comillas plus the beach.
There’s so much to see and do around Comillas. We sat in the outdoor area regularly for a coffee and to people watch.
The room was large and very clean. The bathroom was large and the shower and tub were awesome with lots of hot water and good water pressure. The hotel is an easy walk to lots or restaurants and an easy 1 minute walk to the Gaudi house and the summer palace.
Not far off the highway, a convenient place to stop on our road trip from North Spain to Portugal.
It was spacious and clean. All self check in, but directions were accurate and communication via text was prompt.
Quiet and wonderful rural location. The space was very comfortable and amazing staff that provided great advice on how to explore the area. Pantry stocked with coffee, olive oil, vinegar was really nice to have.

A nice comfortable apt. Everything you need is there and it's just a short walk in to the centre. We loved Comillas.
Luisa is great and she's right next door if you need anything.
Nice, spacious room with balcony. Very clean. We had dinner at the hotel and it was delicious, one of the best we’ve had on the Camino. The hosts were warm and welcoming.
Such a great albergue!!!! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Great to have a kitchen and curtains on the beds for extra privacy. Great location in Comillas as well.
