Clean and comfortable place just at the entrance of Santo Domingo! It’s modern and efficient, plus Maite is a great owner and a special person with her kindness when you check in.
This impressive hotel is housed in a former hospital building dating from the 12th century. Parador de Santo Domingo de la Calzada has various magnificent lounges.

What a hotel, superbly located in the old town. whilst parking was chargeable it was good to have two options, both of which were secure. The interior of the hotel is simply magnificent and the bar prices were excellent. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable.

The town seems to be dying, which is sad because it is so beautiful. There were no restaurants open the day I was there, other than the golf club. It was a very quiet and lovely place on the Camino de Santiago.
Lovely albergue. It is outside the village of Ciruena by some distance. Very clean, bed was comfortable, toilet and shower facilities spotless. Laundry facilities were great. There was a vending machine reasonably priced which was nice to see. Hosts were very nice. We had a communal meal and local wine which was really nice, great cook. You paid extra for that. I paid €4 for breakfast which was disappointing. Got coffee and toast for that. Would not tecommend this. Very enjoyable overall. Would highly recommend it but avoid the breakfast.
We arrived at the hostel by taxi and called the manager, Lidia, and she came right up to us and handed us the keys. Since the apartment is far from the city center, we were able to drive to the downtown market in her car. Lidia was a very kind and responsible person. The facilities were equipped with the cleanliness and convenience of a five-star hotel, and everything was new because it was a new building. There was no discomfort in her life at all.
Nice clean homey old style lodging to stay after reaching Ciruena through what appeared to be totally out of character soulless urban sprawl. Perhaps some developers & urban planners vision that went wrong? Casa is in the old part of town which is neglected by the new development outside but has a bar/restaurant nearby serving drinks and good food. Glad it was there for much needed rest stop. Good bed.
My 2nd time with the lovely couple in Ciruena fir a winter camino. True hospitality and comfort and a heated room and bathroom. I was improvising with bus and taxi as the Jacotrans did not run over Christmas and my pack was too heavy due to sleep apnea machinery. The hospitalero offered to bring it to Belorado….
