Close to Via de la Plata and backed onto Via Verde (our room had views of this); bath was most welcome after a long day; food was excellent! This is a popular food stop for truck drivers. The menu del día was cheap, filling and tasty. Service was quick. Breakfast the next morning started at 7 am and was equally good.

Check in went smoothly through lock boxes, never saw any staff but communicated through WhatsApp that worked well. We had a room with an ensuite and shared a communal area with other guests. The communal area was a well stocked kitchen, large table and a sofa. Very rural feeling with only a pub that closes at 9pm I believe. Didn't see any other shops/services so come prepared.

Susana and her husband did everything possible to take care of me. Copious laughter and good will made up for my inability to communicate in Spanish. They were an absolute delight 😊 and the hotel is a gem.

A nice hostel, comfortable and clean. Picturesque surroundings near the lake, very calm and green. We came there in March and it was cold outside and inside the room. We used a conditioner to warm the room but it didn't work well. But the blankets were so warm that we didn't feel cold while sleeping. The hot water was great. But you could take your own shampoo and shower gel with you. On the first floor there is a big hall with fire place and it was very pleasant to sit near the fire at the night. There are no cafes or restaurants near the hostel so you should take some meal and products with you. There is a different kitchen furniture in the hostel and you could cook yourself easily. It's a great place to come with children or with a group of friends: a lot of space to play for children and to stay with the friends. The hosts were very pleasant, attentive and helpful!
