Fantastic setting in the mountains hosted by a lovely young couple. One of the most authentic, friendly stays with superb home cooked, locally sourced food. All aspects of the property are done with care and passion and it’s well worth visiting. Even though I took a detour to come here especially and it’s not particularly close to the Camino , it was worth every effort and I’m going to include it in my top 5 stays on the Camino.

This 18th-century house is located in the village of Ventosa, 15 minutes’ drive from Logroño. It offers 6 individually decorated rooms with free internet access and a flat-screen TV.

I is a nice hotel with breakfast and food (pre-order). The owner / Hosts was super informed about all possible activities, hiking etc. in the area, and he always happy to be of service to the guests.

A very warm welcome from Joaquin (who speaks fluent English for those who like me are very new to learning Spanish!). The village setting is peaceful and very beautiful. The setting is stunning overall with walking and activities in the local area. There is a well maintained garden area for guests to use, too. The beds were comfortable and our room had a lovely view over the garden and onto the village. I’ve recommended to family and would certainly stay again.
