A most stunning retreat in a rural village along the Camino de Santiago. The gardens are magical and there is a sense of peace and tranquillity at every turn. The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean. Our dining experiences were perfect for both dinner and breakfast. We felt very looked after and relaxed.

The location for the Camino, the food and the bed layout
Hotel room was clean. Nice little balcony but could only use it to dry our clothes. Our room was western exposure and became extremely hot. Unbearable . I would not recommend this hotel to my friends. Hotel was basically empty and they could have been thoughtful enough to put us on Northern or Eastern exposure. If I had know I would have asked for the western or eastern side.
Castrojeriz, Albergue Orion was a hostal for pilgrims but we had an actual room with private bath. We had the meal on offer which was Korean vegetables over rice with soup & egg. The folks that ran it were really great. A Korean woman did all the food, Mustafa was the greeter and check-in guy then there was a sweet young French girl and a young fellow who were the extra help. Well run operation. Good parking.
What a lovely country house for a calming respite stop in the beautiful town of Castrojeriz.
Wonderful places to sit and admire the views from the huge picture windows in the downstairs lounge and sunny patio.
Definitely a wonderful recommendation to all future travellers to stay at this delightful 'Casa Rural'.
Thank you to the friendly staff for letting us stay an extra night, it was much appreciated!
Amazing new albergue just at the entrance of Castrojeriz. The owner was super friendly and welcoming and helped organise a taxi back to Burgos for my husband. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Castrojeriz is a lovely town with loads of history - possibly one of my favourite stops on the Camino so far!
Historic old hotel in the middle of town. Host was very nice. Dinner was good. We had salad and chicken with cheesecake for dessert. This is the first place we have stayed with a working bathtub (deep) which my wife was very excited about. Breakfast was good as well. Nice views from a second floor small balcony

Owner was very genuine and friendly made everyone feel welcome and at home. Lovely rooms and patio. Close to town. Very friendly locals and pilgrims. Owner went out of his way to help. Very hard working and you could tell his heart was in the Hotel and we would love to come back and stay longer.
Located right at the end of Castrojeriz, Rosalia is a great pilgrim hostel to mingle with other pilgrims. It doesn't take long for Rosalia fill up. I enjoy my stay here. Javier is a great host and the breakfast was perfect for the next day's walk!
The hotel and gardens were gorgeous.
There was large footbath in the garden . The staff was great- helpful, courteous, and spoke English. Hotel Manager Leandro and Assistant Manager Christian set the bar high as innkeepers.
The Emebed Posada hotel is absolute perfection. From the lovely proprietor, Margarite to the beautifully designed rooms, artwork and dining space, it is an exceptional property. It was a calm and relaxing experience.
This was a lovely big hotel with big rooms and a big modern bathroom. The room had blackout blinds and a big bed. The hotel had a bar and a terrace with views though this could have benefited from a clean
Staff was really welcoming and attentive. Lots of hot water and water pressure was excellent. I reaoliked the hotel had a bar and restaurant onsite. The staff, however, is what made it a very nice stay.
