One of our rooms had a great view to the village and castle. Rooms were super spacious and well equipped. All the comfort expected from Paradores, although the building itself is not an old castle or monastery as with other Paradores. Lots of free parking (even with shadow). Short walking distance from the old village. Great staff and service. An easy sort drive to the Lake.
Hostal Raices is located in Puebla de Sanabria and offers free Wi-Fi. Set on the 2nd floor of a historic building, it is 5 minutes’ walk across the River Tera from the castle.
We didn't have breakfast. The hotel feels like a 'truck stop'/ work man's cafe,
with all the trucks parked outside your window and the hotel being situated on the main road. The road maintenance work man also stay in the hotel & they were all a jolly bunch!
