Excellent location for exploring Burgos. Just a 10-15 minute stroll to the Cathedral. Our room was upgraded on arrival and a very comfortable room. I slept like a log! Reasonable price for the secure underground parking too. And the buffet breakfast choice was very good.

Breakfast we had delicious croissants with coffee. Dinner was good, menu all in Spanish as very little English spoken but we managed.

We stayed here for 1 night during our trip home. The room & bed were perfect, good restaurant & not expensive.
Hotel Maria Luisa is located in central Burgos, 5 minutes' walk from Burgos Old Town and 12 minutes’ walk from its famous Cathedral and the Human Evolution Museum.
As an overnight stop the hotel was acceptable. For a longer stay, it would be nice to have had a bed that wasn't so hard. I can't say if all the mattresses are the same as this was the first time we stayed but you know when you sit on the bed and it doesn't move with the weight of a heavy adult it is more than firm.
The staff were great but apart from being able to get a coffee and a toasty there were no facilities open, this may have been the time of year as they were catering for a large external party downstairs in the restaurant during the day.
There is a restaurant a few hundred metres away but that wasn't open at lunch so we eneded up buying a couple of baggettes from Lidl. The staff were kind enough to provide us some cutlery and they didn't mind us taking food to our room.
It would have been nice to have had a kettle in the room however I seem to recall a coffee machine in the cafe part of the hotel were you could get a drink.

Great stop for an overnight stay before travelling to Santander or Bilbao. The address needs updating on the Booking.com website as the Hotel is in Los Tomillares (on the N120) and not in the village of Castrillo del Val.

The location and parking out of the historic center. The decorating is an interesting blend of 90’s country, the old feel is quaint. The four bed room- actually a double and two singles was a nice option for a family. Much better than two hotel rooms. Dog friendlyTje bedding and rooms were clean but
A very pleasant, unfussy and efficient member of staff checked us into the hotel . He also served in the adjacent bar and managed both of these tasks with understated charm .
The room was a good size with a large en-suite bathroom . Excellent sound insulation (the hotel is on a very busy road) .
Very large rooms, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms are big with good showers. Very helpful and considerate staff. The hotel has really good character. Good walks for the dogs.

They gave us very big good room with big bathroom. Comfortable bed. There is no problem to park a car near the building. The hotel itself is very beautiful inside.
I like this hotel if it is close to the Camino de Frances. Unfortunately it is too far away and difficult to find the way. Google keeps providing wrong way to me.
