Boasting a privileged hillside setting in a Medieval walled enclosure, this rural property is set around an ancient fortress in the Andalusian countryside.

If you get a chance, definitely stay at this hotel. Highly recommended. Absolutely stunning to sleep in a castle. To look out over the mountains from your private terrace on top of a castle tower. And everything was perfect. Spacious, very comfortable room, good bed, very good breakfast with good coffee. And an excellent dinner in the nearby restaurant El Aljibe. Great place to be when visiting surrounding places such as Gibraltar or Ronda. Just a great place to be.

This is one of the nicest places we have stayed, ever. The setting is beautiful and the apartment a gem. Whoever chose the colours of the furnishings has a rare idea for colour. Everything was comfortable & well thought out. As an added bonus, the restaurant is just along the passageway.

It was a reasonable choice for my one-night stopover while traveling. The location was ideal, with proximity to Gibraltar.

Great position close to the beach. Lots of great bars and restaurants and two or three small supermarkets within easy walking distance. Lovely gardens to sit in with lots of tables and chairs in the sunshine and shaded areas. Room had a fridge which was handy.
A beautiful hotel situated by the Sotogrande Marina overlooking Gibraltar, Morocco and the Mediterranean Sea, alongside some of the best golf courses in Europe.

Location, easy drive in and out, area is beautiful. We had an upgrade from the hotel for a very nice room with views of harbour. We were really thankful and loved it.
Breakfast is excellent, love the avocado and the bacon is fried properly which is often not the case in Spanish hotels
Breathtaking views from and to the castle. Not for nervous drivers as access is very steep and narrow (being a castle on a hill 🤷🏼♀️) Local bar/restaurant Venta de Carmen - (10 mins walk) great value and very friendly

Horse riding downhill exceeds expectations.
Dinner in the castle is really enjoyable.
Stay in the medieval house is a very interesting option for one max two nights due to the level of comfort modern peope are used to.

This hotel is one of the very best run, most welcoming and excellent I have ever stayed in. If you measured against top London or global hotels the customer service, exceptional cuisine and room comfort would be second to non. It is built within an ancient Moorish Castle dating back to the 13th century. Sympathetically adapted with views 360o from the mountain peak, with soaring Iberian eagles .. it is breathtaking. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I am just bewildered by it’s 3 star rating!!
The hotel is quite unique, having been a castle at some stage. The buffet breakfast was good and we had nice views all the way to Gibraltar from the window. Room had a nice big bath and there was a cute little bar and outside terrace.
This is a hidden gem, the whole hotel is a museum yet with very big and comfortable newly renovated rooms. We just wish we could have stayed a bit longer
