Great experience! Everything was perfect from the location (just 5 min walk to the beach, old city centre or to the bus terminal towards Barcelona, Girona etc) to the staff and facilities. Room and breakfast exceeded my expectations. Hotel complex situated inside a green oasis (an olive trees forest) with pool, jacuzzi etc. Staff very professional. Overall we highly recommend Garbi Hotel for a trip in Calella de Palafrugell.

Amazing location…could have sat all day on that balcony with the view! Modern apartment, very clean and well equipped. Beds really comfortable and good quality bed linen. Washing machine a bonus. Good to have a few essentials in kitchen…dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, salt and pepper. Manager excellent - communication via email and then WhatsApp…lots of useful info given about area and replied to messages very quickly when we had a query. Couple of minutes walk to beach. Check in easy with key-safe and able to check in slightly early which we really appreciated.

Great area,not very touristy which we liked,lovey beaches. Coastal walk to LLafranc (& in other direction!) plenty of restaurants, couple of supermarkets. Free parking in car parks after September 16th .
Noticed a tourist bus ( Julivia) that comes into the area ( not sure of route or timings!) & believe you can also get a bus to Palamós.
You could walk to Palafrugell but we had car and used large supermarket there.

Great little village with lots of beaches in the town and a short walk around the coast in either direction that are definitely worth going to just for the walks. Great food options throughout the town - we really enjoyed La Blava and Tragamar but may others to choose from too.

We enjoyed walking along the sea front especially the coastal walk to Llafranc although it involves steep paths and steps. The one way circulation system is easy to drive and walk although may be difficult for persons with mobility problems. Eat at restaurants frequented by locals is my recommendation as we had a bad experience at a restaurant high up overlooking the bay. Our visit was at the end of the season and some restaurants closed from October 2nd.

Very pretty coastal town without any of the high rise buildings that mar much of the rest of the Spanish coast. Only negative was that the beaches were far too full. And hey, can someone inform the restaurant owners and cooks that being vegetarian is a thing?

The hotel is modern and clean. The rooms are updated, spacious and comfy! The staff was so helpful and friendly. They had a really nice breakfast in the morning and offered a tray to take my kids breakfast in the room. The location was perfect, next to a market and one block to the beach and all the restaurants. Such a quaint and special hotel and town. They have a massage therapist on site as well with a beautiful relaxation and therapy room. It was very reasonable.
Location was great - super view of the bay and we choose the balcony apartment so could sit out looking over the bay which was stunning. Kitchen was well stocked with sharp knives which is always a surprise in a self catering apartment. Great to have a staircase directly to the beach too and next door to a great restaurant. Parking in Calella is always a challenge so it was a treat to have free parking a short walk around the corner past the Torre hotel.
It is located just 5 minutes away from the town center by car, and a 7 min walk from the beach in a quiet area, surrounded by trees and birds chirping (no wonder the place is called Song of the birds). the place has been remodeled with taste and charm. It’s very comfortable and super clean. the hosts are very friendly and accesible at all times. Highly recommend it if you have plans to go the Costa Brava.
The location is fabulous: the terrace has amazing views and the hotel is close to little beaches, a coastal path, botanical gardens and the lovely town. We really appreciated being able to borrow a deck chair and parasol for our mother (in her 90s). Our meals were delicious and service friendly. The hotel is simply and very tastefully decorated. We valued the incredible attention to detail.

Absolutely stunning views of the sea and coastline. Fantastic coastal walks with wonderful views. Good beaches seconds from the apartment with crystal clear aqua blue sea. Fabulous restaurants within walking distance. Lots do and explore in the surrounding area.Calella de Palafrugell is a beautiful coastal town.
We loved our stay at hotel Alga, it was the perfect place for a family holiday! The hotel was immaculate, the gardens were beautiful, the food was very good - my children especially loved breakfast! My youngest made some lovely friends at the pool, and their families return every year as they enjoy the hotel so much!
The room was lovely and clean and we could see the sea from our balcony. The breakfast was excellent, the best we had while in Spain, we stayed at 4 different places. We had a car and parking was easy, town is only a short walk away and there is a supermarket (Spar) very close.

The location of the hotel is perfect, a 2 minute walk from the beach and all the main restaurants.
The apartment itself was good and nice with a nice view and balcon, these are aparmtents from private owners so it is a very quiet neighborhood with no supermarket near so youre not located near the center of Callella de Palafrugell it is about 25/30 minutes walk.
The hotel is almost in the center of the beautiful city, the beach is about 5 minutes away. A very rich luxury breakfast, a large selection of food, drinks, fruit and vegetables. Parking in the building for an extra charge. The building includes a swimming pool.
Very comfortable. Friendly staff. We are a couple doing a walking tour of Costa Brava and Hotel Alga is a great place to arrive to a warm welcome after a hot day on the Cami De Rondi. The breakfast was just the thigh to get us back on the trail in the morning.
