I stayed at the Gran Hotel Don Manuel between 1 and 15 June, 2024. The location was pretty convenient, close to the bus stop and Plaza Mayor. The personnel were super friendly and helpful during the whole time of my stay there.
The most amazing thing was the view from my window, as I could observe the mountains and some of the historical buildings of the city. If I am ever going to visit Caceres again, I will certainly stay there.

The room was large and comfortable, the bathroom clean and modern. The location was ideal for our needs. We would choose the Alcantara again. The breakfast was ok though not great, especially for an area with such good quality local produce. There lots of bars and restaurants nearby.
The Casa Pizarro Hotel, set in a late 18th-Century house, offers a delightful space next to Plaza Santa Clara and the old quarter of the city ideal to explore Cáceres.

Location was great. We paid for the inside parking, which was excellent, but hotel was just inside the old town so walking was easy too.
The room was big with plenty of character but all the modern amenities you'd expect. Staff were very helpful helping us sort the parking out and check in really early.

I booked a hotel just to stay night on my drive. I was impressed as I did not expect this quality for a price I paid. Very good.

It is a beautiful city with lots of historic places to visit. Amazing restaurants to try typical dishes and mainly the cheese! It seems difficult to access sometimes (mainly the old historic area), but taxis reach practically everywhere. Sadly, my trip was a business one and only for a weekend, but the city deserves more days to fully enjoy it!

Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around.
Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around. Slightly off the beaten track with not too many foreign tourists there, particularly in February. Speaking a little Spanish is useful. Would definitely recommend.

Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city.
Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city. The museum is very well set out starting with paleotonic times and there is no charge to go in.
I also loved the Arab museum - only a relatively small building but with some many distinct rooms and full of the everyday things that were used. A real house, not just a made to look like one.
Good ‘menu’ at the Colon Kiosk that’s around from the hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Beautifully clean, lovely helpful staff
Great food. Will be re booking to go back.
Room was excellent had plenty room for two small dogs, they left out dog beds and bowls
Comfy big bed, lovely shower room.

Caceres was a highlight of a monthlong trip through Portugal and Andalucia. I would like to have spent three or four days there. There's a wonderful modern art museum in the Old City area. Do not miss a romantic nighttime stroll.

Caceres is a must-visit jewel in Spain's repertoire of fabulous historic places to visit. So many places to see but all in walking distance of the parador - Plaza de la Concepcion, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Maria and the cathedral, Torre do los Pozos, the water cisterns and the Torre de Bujaco. All are wonderful sights to visit. Very easy to walk around and the Plaza Mayor has many restaurants and bars from which to choose where to eat.
Wonderful hotel. Perfect location just off the motorway as we booked it as travelling through Spain to Portugal. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great choice at breakfast. Good size room and bathroom. Spa a welcome treat after all the driving. About 10 minutes drive to Caceres the old town is amazing, visit if you can; we got a taxi in from the hotel and had tapas restaurant recommended from the hotel reception which was right in the old town (where they were filming Game of Thrones!) and it was fantastic.
Parking was excellent with elevator to hotel lobby and rooms from garage. We stayed in a 2BR apartment which was across plaza (30m) from hotel lobby - they had a luggage cart available to assist. Apartment was very new, clean and well equipped. Nice comfy LR furniture and big TV. Well equiped kitchen with new pans. A short walk to center of old town (like 7-8 minutes but uphill). Very easy to get to hotel with car and easy to get back to main roads. Good communications through booking app.
I have come to Cáceres to help my father who had a medical emergency whilst staying in this hotel and every member of staff were outstanding. The care they have shown for me and my father is beyond any of my expectations. They have all been very kind and supportive making us both feel like we are not alone despite being over 1000 miles from home. I cannot thank them enough for what they have done and continue to do during the stay.
the hotel is historic and everything was beautiful. There has been remodeling but the character was left intact. The staff was exceptional, very kind and helpful. The location was great and we could walk everywhere quickly. The neighborhood was full of life! Yes, there was noise at night, but not very late, and it is to be expected in a hotel so centrally located. We enjoyed our stay very much!
Great place for a stopover in Caceres. Easily accessible from the motorway but also walking distance from the city centre (20 minutes or so). Payable underground parking or plenty of free parking around the outside of the hotel. The pool area is great and perfect after a day out exploring. Breakfast was great too - not included in the room price but good value at 11 euros per person.
Very comfortable hotel with nice beds. Perfect stayover for travelling from Spain to Portugal. Location is very central with cafes, park and restaurant on walking distance and also a walk in the old city center.
Matras are nice, clean room and spacious.
Very easy to book last minute, friendly and positive receptionist. Quiet street for sleeping
This apartment is overlooking the Plaza Mayor and has the most wonderful views on the historical old city, with restaurants at the entrance and a supermarket as stone throw away. It is an excellent, affordable place to stay in one of Spain's most wonderful cities. Communication by the owner also very helpful and friendly.
Beautiful hotel newly re-opened, with very friendly staff, in the medieval centre of Caceres. The hotel was beautifully decorated with thoughtful details. We only stayed for one night but I would have liked to have stayed longer! We did not have breakfast included.
Nice hotel with a good swimming pool that is mist welcome in summer (Caceres being very hot). Location is good about 15 minutes from the center and it was easy to park. The rooms were large and confortable. Good breakfast
It was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our entire trip. And we were pleasantly surprised by the neighborhood. If possible we would love to return here and spend more time. Our stay was too short!
Central location if you are visiting Caceres. Breakfast was good, paid parking available on premises. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean and appeared to have had been recently refurbished.
Nice hotel in the historic centre. Discover Caceres in walking distance. Nice restaurants close-by. Good facilities, friendly staff. Hotel offers a special rate at a garage in 10 min distance.
A great hotel, wonderfully placed in the center of Caceres. Modern facilities. Rooms a bit small though. Comfortable bed, quiet at night. Very good to relax after a long journey.
Bedroom very clean & comfortable. Greeting by gentleman on reception on arrival was very friendly & welcoming. Hotel close to Caceres’ amazing heritage site. Would recommend
