Not much , we thought it was still a Smurf village there but due to conflict with Sony or Hollywood pictures they had to take everything down that had to do with Smurf’s out of the village since 2017
It is a nice little city to pass by, but I wouldn’t recommend you staying there for more than one day as it is very, very boring absolutely nothing to do there
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Hotel Almejí offers accommodations in Benadalid, 22 mi from Marbella. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant.

The hospitality was outstanding and facilities very satisfactory. We showed up dripping wet, cold and muddy from a day of hiking in rain and were welcomed as though we were family. Great ambiance, food and service at the bar-restaurant too. Huge shout-out & thank you to the very helpful and friendly Veronica who took time with us even though she was run off her feet all evening!

Very nice lodging in a beautiful town, centrally located. We parked in a lot a five minute walk away. The staff were very kind and the breakfast was delicious. The room was pretty, comfortable and nice bathroom.

Great value for money. The apartment was a perfect place for our stay in the very beautiful village. The apartment has a kitchen, a living room and two bedrooms. The shower provides instantly hot water! So everything was fine and comfortable. Better take one of the two upstairs apartments because of the beautiful views. Parking is possible nearby. There is a small shop in the village (but no gas station and no bank/atm). The roads to Genalguacil are awesome, steep and winding - great if you love mountain roads! Also very good hiking opportunities around here.
The Inturjoven hostel is about 0.6 mi from the Andalusian village of Cortes De La Frontera. Set in Los Alcornocales Nature Reserve, it has a swimming pool and tennis courts.

It is sort of a mountain 'retreat' kind of place, as opposed to a hotel. It is pretty basic, which I don't mind, but many travelers are less flexible than I am.

The inhabitants of the mountain village as well as the mountain village itself convey a cosy warmth so that one feels at home. It is a good starting point for hikes to the nearby villages in the area. There are also small grocery stores to enjoy a quiet stay. When I was there in March, the restaurant was unfortunately not open.
The location and the views from the property was fantastic. Benalauria is a lovely unspoilt traditional Andalucian hill town, better than the other towns we visited. The people were nice as well. The were very good walks right from your door step.
