We went to the Blues festival held every July in the old bull ring up in the chestnut woods above Bejar so were just wanting a room to sleep.
Bejar itself, interesting old town once centre of a thriving wool and cloth trade but feeling in decline now with closed shops. But still attractive old quarter along the Main Street linking several plazas. The main square st the bottom has the theatre, and cámara oscura which is worth a visit. As well as the route of the mill industry, sculpture museum, Jewish quarter. The surrounding country side is very pretty for walking, cycling. Visit particularly Candelario traditional centre of artisan sausages etc with streams channels down the streets and large traditional alpine houses, and Baños de Mibtenayor, spa town.

Bejar is an underrated town from the international tourist point of view. It's real advantage in charm is that it is almost completely unspoilt by tourism and well worth a visit as it is a well-preserved and photogenic town. It is a medieval fortified town standing on a plateau above ravine. The scenery is great on a clear day. The Sierra Del Bejar is good for walking and exploring.
we stayed here whilst cycling the Rita de la Plata. The staff were very helpful and friendly, storing our cycles out of the way, and in their general ambiance. The hotel has a busy bar with Tapas used by many locals and a separate dining room where we were served a very good meal in the evening and breakfast in the morning..The room was nice and clean with comfortable beds. we met an English couple who repetitively stay here whilst travelling and it comes highly recommended. Thank you to all the staff for making us so comfortable.
The surrounding of the hotel is so calm, a lot of nature and just 5 minuts by car to the restaurant area.
The check in system was through machine but it was easy to understand and quick process let us entre the room as soon as finish the payment.
The breakfast was good. They served us quickly.
Really nice place, good size room, and food was great. Lovely views.
We were travelling by bicycle and the climb up to the hotel was manageable.-- reason gradient, but after a long days ride I would have preferred not to have needed to do it. They were very helpful with bike storage.
Lovely hotel in central location. Friendly owners. Great for cycle tourists. Very clean and great bathroom. Tasty served breakfast included.
Booked last minute and welcomed 10min later ready to store our bicycles securely.
This is one of my preferred places to spend some days hiking and walking around Bejar and Candelaruo. You get almost all you may need to spend a great time with your family.
Very nice, quiet studio on the top floor of an apartment building on the edge of Bejar, nice roof terrace with mountain views, well equipped kitchenette.
