This is a golf club in the mountains. We drove past it and had to turn around and descend to find it. Our mistake since it is fairly obvious from the road. It was busy when we arrived on Saturday evening. There was a birthday party downstairs and some singing. However this didn’t continue late. The room was clean and very comfortable. We ate in the hotel and the food was reasonable with friendly service. The continental breakfast was included and again friendly service. Plenty of parking. Fantastic location! Would definitely recommend .

First of all the hotel was a rectangle with rectangular rooms, a rare find in Europe. The bed was a king size and very comfortable. As for the town, we found it very picturesque and charming. Most restaurants don't open until 8:00pm which is common in Spain. My wife's maiden name is Mondragon so we went to the city hall to get find out more about the town.
We got the royal treatment from the service manager herself. She gave us maps and talked with us about the history of the town. She then left her office and gave us a personal guided tour with access to the town hall meeting room and cupola. Her service was above and beyond anything that I expected.
The very next day was a festival day with a running of bulls though the city. Unfortunately we had a strict itinerary and couldn't stay one more day. Check the calendar of cultural events online before you go so that you don't miss out like we did.

Sadly our stay was just for an overnight as we were on a long journey from the UK to our home in southern Spain. From now on though, this will be our go-to hotel, and we'll definitely be back for a holiday. Immaculately clean, a lovely host, this spacious hotel couldn't be better placed for our purposes. The rooms were spacious, the beds larger than normal and very comfortable. Lots of little extras made our stay a treat. The town itself was a lovely surprise. It had a great atmosphere, lots of restaurants and bars within a short walking distance, lots of character and history. The coastline a short drive away is staggeringly beautiful. No hesitation about recommending a stay in this lovely hotel and peaceful town. There's a tendancy to look at a map and see nothing but motorway, but the reality is very different - 5 minutes away from the autovia and you're in a different world.
Excellent location, modest, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation. Friendly host who took the time to help us find the bus schedule, find our way to the Mondragon corporation office, and always greeted us with a smile.

I stayed for 5 nights here during my cycle adventure in Spain. I can’t recommend this hotel any more highly. Absolutely superb facilities with lovely coffee and patisseries and cake for the guests. The breakfast was very good every morning and the owner Karmele went above and beyond to make me feel welcome in her hotel. I would highly recommend Karmeles hotel and would definitely stay here again. Thank you Karmele for a great break !
This was surprisingly best place of the entire trip! I regret we only spent 1 night there and definitely want to come back.
It has everything: beautiful location, all the required facilities, nice breakfast. Coffee, fruits and biscuits were always available as if this was an expensive hotel. The room was perfect.
The staff here is so nice!! I had a last minute change to my itinerary and i don’t speak Spanish very well but neither of those were inhibitors to having a great time! Thank you especially to Cecilia for all of her help finding a hike I wanted to do! So grateful to have stumbled into this hotel!
The localization it is very nice, and also the staff. They were very kind and supportive with all the questions that I made, since the booking phase. There are a lot of restaurants and bars close to the hotel, and event with this, the place is quiet and silent.

The hotel is very clean. It is situated in the city center. It feels very homelike. But still one can feel the local cultural taste of the region. The receptionists are very nice and helpful.
The hotel is very well-located, right in the centre of Arrasate. You can walk everywhere. The host is very gracious and welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful!
