Had a modern look. It was nice and spacious for a family of 4. Had a kitchen and living room. A Mercadona is nearby for groceries. Host has a painless checkin process. Had problems with the wifi and the host took my concern serious and proceeded to contact a maintenance person who told me what to do to fix the issue (reboot the router by turning off and on the circuit breaker).

City is not big and enough quiet, perfect for families.

We didn't want to stay in one of the big resorts. Arinaga was an excellent place from which to explore the island. Easy for the motorway, and the airport. Enough restaurants and bars, a decent beach. Be prepared for windy days.

A small but nevertheless lively coastal town, just perfect to use as a base for exploring the entire island by car. Most of the supermarkets and eateries are situated along the main street (Avenida Polizon), but there are more scattered around. Don’t forget to take a stroll along the seaside promenade and spot all the sculptures!

It’s a quiet village. Not too touristy in November.
It’s a quiet village. Not too touristy in November. Nice beach promenade. Not ideal village if you’re travelling as a solo female as it’s not very many street lights. However it feels pretty safe and like mentioned - quiet. The larger area is industrial but it adds to the charm of the village.
The accommodation is basic, well planned and clean. Very thin walls. A hostel but with private rooms and bathrooms - smart! Very helpful hosts that you could communicate with via WhatsApp.

Tapas bars are great.
Tapas bars are great. You can get the bus to Playa de Ingles and Maspalomas if you wish which is cheap. No tourists which gives the place a personal local touch. Great walk to the Lighthouse which has a great secluded beach which is great fr snorkling.
