Friends recommended the hotel at Areu , but it was off season and closed so we rented this flat. What good fortune! It is wonderful place with huge windows looking out into the meadows, a very well appointed kitchen and comfortable areas to hang out. Also, the host was very generous with recommendations as to where to hike. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all and retreat, this is it.
Areu is an extraordinarily beautiful place and the hotel is a gem. The people running it are super sweet and attentive, and the hotel restaurant is exceptional. We ate three meals a day there for our entire stay. Will stay longer next time!
