Hotel Torresport, hotel in Arenas de Iguña

This modern hotel is located in Torrelavega in Cantabria. It offers a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, including a 500 m² fitness centre and 2 heated swimming pools.

Evening meal in the Hotel was OK, The breakfast was very poor, rough and ready selection of cold foods and fruit. Lacking Finesse of other Hotels we stayed in. The room was clean but small. The Hotel has a garage for safe storage of our motorcycle, this I arranged prior to arrival, with our booking.

Palacio de Trasvilla, hotel in Arenas de Iguña

Palacio De Trasvilla is in Escobedo De Villafufre, in the Cantabrian countryside, a 30-minute drive from Santander Airport. It features an outdoor pool, and offers free parking and free Wi-Fi.

A very nice step back in time, with a really nice and friendly host. The building is 300 years old with character, so be aware that it is not a modern hotel. But we went for the old-world look and we weren’t disappointed. Highly recommended for anyone who likes the quality of life. We’d definitely visit again.

Nothing. We requested a meal as per the information but Host told us not available we would have to drive back down the mountainous road to the village where there was a bar. She eventually said we had to stay elsewhere so she called another Posada in village and we stayed there. She told us she would cancel the reservation even though she would have to pay Booking.com. She could only offer us a bottle of wine. No crisps, bread, cheese etc. Very disappointing as the hotel seemed very nice on the website.
