Reception is off the very narrow, but, beautiful street. A doorbell to call a member of staff. Once in you are given a code for the electronic sliding doors. Reception is small, but, clean and tidy. A glass floor over a feature is nice.
My bedroom was very smart. Split level for anyone with mobility issues. The toilet down five stairs. The bed is a big double and firm to hard. The linen is white, clean and crisp. Two bedside tables with lamps. A small two seater sofa and table up and a fridge and desk and chair down. Tele. It’s a beautiful room.
The shower room is lovely and clean with a good sized cabinet. A twin headed shower. Plenty of hot water if you leave it long enough. Towels are fluffy and white and monogrammed. Don’t take one it’s 29€? Little bottles of shower gel provided with a small bar of hand soap. Big mirror and shaving/make up mirror. Small window with a view!
The room has a balcony. Despite there being three other balconies in close proximity it felt private. The two closest balconies have frosted glass screens. You have to lean out to see onto the others! As I type ten Griffon Vultures are thermaling literally 20 feet above my balcony! My balcony has a fantastic view of the Colegiata de Santa Maria la Mayor; beautiful.
The village is beautiful. The area stunning. Lots of bars, restaurants and places to sit and drink. It is a wonderful place and a ‘must’ visit.
The host and his mum (?) are pleasant and helpful, but, not always there. You have to go outside to ring the bell. By which time the electric doors have shut and you have to pin yourself back in. A bell on reception would be better. Breakfast was OK. Nice ingredients. Not included in the price!

The rural location, the quirky room and restaurant, lovely garden/terrace and friendly staff. Unfortunately didn't meet Bruno due to a family emergency but he contacted me privately on WhatsApp offering advice on places to eat and visit. Certainly went above & beyond.
Situated in the lovely village of Huerta de Vero, this hotel has been lovingly restored from an early 19th-century property, keeping its original decor, and providing magnificent, spacious rooms

The apartments are really nice, very clean and secure.
The apartments are really nice, very clean and secure. Alquezar is a truly beautiful medieval village with so much to offer. Angel was very friendly and welcoming and was on hand if we needed help. The apartments are close to some really nice restaurants who sold excellent food at a decent price. Parking is literally a few steps from the gates of the property.
The heating worked really well so it was nice and cosy for us.
There is only a small supermarket in the village but Barbastro has a number of good supermarkets. We found Mercadona very easily and got all the supplies we needed there.
I would recommend this property to other travellers.

I didn't know what we were getting into when I booked a hotel there, it was just a good location on the map. The town itself is small but quaint, all medieval. It's in a very interesting place in the mountains (not not super high up) with an impressive landscape. There are walking, hiking trails, a camping near by and probably lots of climbing to be done. However, I was with a person with limited mobility so we didn't do any of that. The roads are cobblestone and hilly and a bit challenging for that, but if you are in good health than it's probably a nice 2 or 3 day trip.

Amazing place, (out of season), in season....? Wonderful scenary in the Rio Véro canyon, ideal for hot weather and a swim. We ate in a good tapas bar Villacomtal, off the arched square Rafael Ayerbe, on a shady terrace overlooking a gorge.

Alquezar is the most fabulous place to stay to explore the area. you can do all the walking you like just from the town, exploring several gorges with very well marked trails and good safety. The town itself has loads of restaurants with views all around.

The walk down to the river gorge and back.
The walk down to the river gorge and back. Start at the Marie (£4) steeply down a long way then along the metal walkway clinging to the cliffs with stunning views. 1hr 30 mins - walking boots and good muscles needed!
This is a really beautiful hotel! So many pieces of artwork all around and such lovely spaces everywhere you look. The room was spacious, elegant and comfortable. Don't think there was a speck of dust or dirt in the entire hotel. So incredibly clean and inviting! The owner was helpful, kind and made the best espresso for us each morning. Location is perfect for accessing the town and heading off on hikes and the nights were quiet and peaceful. I can't recommend this little gem of a hotel enough. Book it!
The room was clean and comfortable, and well located to explore small town of Alquezar. What we loved the most was the amazing view of the whole town from the balcony, where we watched the sun rise over the beautiful town. Breakfast was also very delicious and we loved having it in our room. The host, Eva was very responsive and she helped us with recommendations and answers to our many questions
The casa is inside the famous touristy town of Alquezar. The property, however, is tranquil as it faces the picturesque valley, not the city street. The spacious garage is a huge luxury and makes the property a very desirable destination. The casa is literally steps away from the most beautiful part of the town. Amenities are not brand new but are in good working order.
The hotel is clean and has great facilities, especially for such a reasonable price point. The staff were kind and we were able to get a packed breakfast, as we had to leave very early. Our room had a great view over the castle and we loved the charming town of Alquezar. Free parking was a huge bonus, as it is located in the old town with narrow streets.
Fine building. Large bedroom with good sized private terrace and excellent view. Friendly check-in.
Large variety breakfast. Good parking. Just before leaving we found there was a nice swimming pool, so had a dip.
Bathroom large, bright, well-equipped. Interesting interior. A gorgeous hotel. We were delighted.
The hotel is right in the centre of this beautiful, medieval town. Rooms are attractive and the staff are very pleasant. The highlight is breakfast - fresh fruit, yoghurt, honey, jams, cheese, cold meat, a variety of delicious cakes, fresh orange juice and coffee, all presided over by a charming restaurant manager.
Perfect location in the heart of antique Alquézar. Staff was very considerate. Excellent place to cool down from the thrill (and heat) of canyoning ventures. We arrived during the annual, 5-days festival of the city which was very crowded. No pb with the hotel parking in the very heart of the village.
An excellent location in Alquezar with stunning views. The private car parking space beneath the apartment is extremely convenient. The apartment is large, comfortable, warm and adequately equipped for self catering. Check in process was well communicated and straight forward.
Super bedroom, plenty of space. No Place to sit outside, but that was indicated in the room description, and was the last room left so..... Very comfy bed and in the heart of the village of Alquezar, but very quiet. Not too hot either inspite of it being 34°C outside!
Nice hotel located near the centre of Alquezar.
Breakfast quality very good, but limited space in breakfast area is managed by allowing "shifts" of people having breakfast. All standing in line at the same time.
Lovely hotel in a prime location in the charming village of Alquezar. There was a bathtub in the room, which was very nice. The owner was very helpful when I had a transportation problem.
Everything was perfect. The village, the room, the views from the balcony. They even had an elevator in this hotel built on the old walls! Exceptional!
