The place was very nice and quiet. The room was very good, clean and comfortable. The food was amazing, they had lots of gluten free options (like gluten free bread). The staff was lovely and really nice.

Despite, or perhaps, because of, the dreadful weather, the exterior of the hotel was very welcoming and attractive. Inside, everything was scrupulously clean and the decor was just right for the style of building. The room was a little small, but warm and comfortable.
The hotel is within easy reach of a number of good-looking restaurants (although most were closed the night we were there) and a short walk from the embalse (reservoir) and tracks up into the high hills.
The breakfast was generous compared with many similar places, and good value.

The check-in staff was helpful. It was easy enough to get to by taxi. The room was a fair enough size. The bed was magnificent, large, and comfortable. The curtains blocked out the sun really well. The bathroom had everything necessary. The breakfast staff were really helpful. The check-out desk staff was wonderful.

Public transport could be varied to other towns such as direct buses to El Escorial.
Alpedrete is a lovely village, typical of Madrid with lovely and affordable tapa bars and restaurants.
I would recommend the village to anyone as it also is 9 km from a skiing port also a lovely place.
