Marc was a fabulous welcoming host who offered many ideas to see the best of the province. We needed the break, and the gorgeous view from the deck was the place to chat and relax. Good room sizes with a strong shower and wifi.

The resident puppy and the shower. I don't want to leave a negative review because it's possible that COVID has had an impact & we stayed out of season. The restaurant wasn't open at all but as there were only 4 guests I don't think it was unreasonable. The air con looked brand new & it looked like the room had recently had new windows & been decorated. Top marks to housekeeping, the room & bathroom were spotless. Although the furniture was a bit 'retro' it didn't really bother us. The bedside lamp didn't work & a bulb in the main light needed replacing.
What was slightly weird was on Sunday there didn't seem to be anyone there at all - the bar wasn't open so we had to go out through the night entrance to get to our campervan to make a coffee in the morning. We didn't see anybody there until we left on Monday morning.
I'm sure in high season it is, or has been a popular hotel.

It was great. The property was really well located. There was milk, fruit and beer in the apartment when we arrived. The property was spacious and comfortable. Rafael and his son were really helpful.
The parking was easy and close by.

I wanted to add to my other review that Davinia and Raul were amazing, wonderful hosts. They very much enhanced our visit with good ideas and knowledge of the area. We also received knowledge about the foods which were served and a quick course in all things olive oil. It was so great. We would visit every year if possible.
Thank you to our wonderful hosts. We wish them all the best.
The hotel was so good that I canceled the whole day plan and just stayed there. Really beautiful place with plenty of places to enjoy. Everything is organic at hospederia la era and the owners are so kind and supportive. You shouldn’t miss the breakfast, carefully cooked at home or bought from nearby artisans they work with. If you’re visiting Cordoba, or Granada, this is the place to give you a refreshing day-off away from the bustling cities.

Well organized place with attention to the guests, nice room, great breakfast in an outdoor setting. More local points Almedinilla and Alcala la Real of interest than we expected with good suggestions from the hosts.
