Alcudia is a small well kept historical village. Some of the beaches nearby are stunning. You need some form of transportation, better a bike or a scooter. car was ok now in the low season. The town outside the old walls is of no or very limited interest. There are some easy bike paths around Alcudia. For the more adventurous there is the road to Cape Formentor (better with electric bikes)

If you like to lay in your sofa, drink beer and watch sports on tv all day, then this place is not for you. If you like architecture, history, romance and tranquility, no cars, then this is the place.

Alcudia is a lovely town, particularly the old town with its superbly maintained city walls and gateways. The old town is a maze of narrow lanes and paths, and the architecture is fantastic. There are many cafes, bars and restaurants dotted around and whilst clearly tourist aimed, many nice shops. The town gets very busy on market day (Tuesday), so best to visit and explore at off-peak times. If in the town, make sure you visit the remains of the Roman settlement of Pollentia, its a fascinating attraction.

Alcudia Old Town was a really beautiful place.
Alcudia Old Town was a really beautiful place. Lots of little streets with lovely shops, restaurants & cafes plus a market. Parking was easy and free.
The far end of Alcudia was very nice and there were plenty of restaurants to eat at. It was lovely to sit and eat your meal overlooking the beach. The centre of Alcudia where it’s really built up wasn’t so nice, very touristy and a bit run down, we just avoided that area.

A lovely old town, very picturesque and fairly free of traffic. Quite busy, particularly on market days. Most of the restaurants provide mediocre fare which is overpriced. I recommend a couple of tapas places on the outer parts of the town - Merlet and also Es Raco de Ronda.

we love alcudia, my mother lived there for almost 30 years.
we love alcudia, my mother lived there for almost 30 years. It's a beautiful Island. we tended to eat at favourite local restaurants, ie Sa Portassa which is fantastic and good value. Bodega Sol near Mal Pas which has been taken over since our last visit. Can definitely recommend their paellas. Can Punyete is one of our old favourites but we were disappointed this time, the scampi wasn't up to its usual standard! Sa ,Roquetta was excellent as always. Sunday lunch at Centric in Puerto Pollensa was very good with great staff. we spotted what looked like a lovely restaurant in the old town Can Pantina which was ok but we wouldn't go there again
The aesthetic of the hotel were amazing. The staff were extremely helpful with recommendations and helping figure out bus times to visit top sites from Alcudia old town. The location is amazing, right in the middle of the old town, a street away from
the main strip of restaurants and shops. Walking distance to bus stop or taxis to visit the Port or nearby beaches. Sunday has markets which are a must to visit.
Hotel has communal kitchen area with tea and coffee and unlimited drinking water which was convenient during the night if you needed.
Amazing location - quiet, calm part of the area, very close to a beautiful beach. Note that it's a 25-30-minute walk to Alcudia Center/Old Town, but the road is pleasant even in the hot weather. We had a ground floor room in one of the blocks, and it felt like we were in a private villa. There was a great selection of foods both at the breakfast and dinner buffets, and most of it was delicious. Staff in general is very polite and friendly, and the option to loan beach umbrellas from the hotel was absolutely a bonus.
I had the most incredible experience at this here. The rooms were absolutely stunning, very spacious and had a very private feel to it. As it was located in the heart of the town, it allowed easy exploration of Alcudia’s attraction such as the market and the beach. The attention to detail and excellent services, from a delicious breakfast to advice we received to help with our excursions, further enhanced my stay. The hotel’s beauty combined with the owners warm hospitality made it truly exceptional.
The boutique hotel was perfect. The artwork, decoration and facilities were wonderful. The breakfasts were varied and exceedingly good. I recommend you book for the breakfast if not included in your package. The location in Alcudia was excellent - close to restaurants and shops. Most importantly the hotel staff were friendly and were great at recommending beaches and restaurants - they couldn’t have been more helpful
and pleasant - a credit to the hotel. We had a fab time here and hope to return.
Lovely Villa in a great location. We enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was fully equipped and easy to navigate. Loads of space if you’re going with a bigger group and big garden with the swimming pool and pool table with the grill at the back kept us entertained. Walking distance to the nearest beach and close to bus stops, can easily get to playa de Muro or historic center of Alcudia by public transport. The host was very kind and responsive. Will be definitely coming back again 😊
It is in a great location where you are close enough to Alcudia and Pollenca, but without it being so busy. The property was well manicured with a nice pool and lounge. There was ample free parking a very short distance away as well as two great beaches just a short walk from the property. The neighborhood also had a few nice restaurants within a 3-5 minutes walk.
Nice, clean and well equipped house with a small but fine pool. The beach and supermarket/bakery is only 3-4 minutes walk so the position is excellent. Facilities, such as the sound system, grill place and beach toys, help to have an even more enjoyable stay. Our doggy was also very happy with the garden. The housekeeper is responsive to anything you might need.
It is a beautiful boutique hotel located inside the old town of Alcudia. It is meticulously clean. The service, although somewhat limited compared to larger properties, was exceptional. The facility feels like a newer renovation, of a vintage property, that is super charming and conveniently located to explore the towns in this area of the island.
Out hosts at Hotel Sant Jaume were awesome! They recommended beaches, restaurants, and sites to see during our stay in the area. Each morning we were greeted with a different, wonderful breakfast that we enjoyed in the courtyard. Everything was freshly made, and the fruit was local and fantastic. We would definitely stay here again!
If you want to stay in the old town of alcudia, then it’s a very good property. Also, it’s just 20 min walk from port d Alcudia.
Many restaurants within old Alcudia town where is the hotel. We got the room with Balcony and it was such a nice place to stay.
Toni and his son are really good host.
Beautiful location for a 'sun, sand, and sea' holiday. The hotel provides two outdoor pools - one for families and one for adults. The beach is a minute's walk away if you prefer the sea. All ages are welcome, and reasonably good for families. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
The Hotel is a little gem in the middle of Alcudia. The stuff is amazing (especially Paco, who gave us great suggestions on what to see and do). The room was big and very well kept. The Hotel also offers free parasols, which are perfect considering the free beaches in the area!
hotel was in a really good location and in keeping with alcudia old town. it was very clean, modern and in close proximity to bars and restaurants. it’s a moderate walk to the beach which is a great opportunity to work off the amazing breakfast provided opposite the hotel
I loved everything about this hotel! The minute we walked through the front door, Rianne gave us a warm greeting and was very informative. Rianne made our stay at this hotel an amazing one! Breakfast, our upgraded room, and the location were all superb!
Beautiful house right on the beach. The outdoor terrace, pool, and yard are incredible. The kitchen, living, and dining room are wonderful for group stays. Each bedroom has its own mini-split and AC. It was great to be able to do laundry here.
The all inclusive provided a superb standard of both food and drinks. The facilities at this hotel and the staff are excellent. It was my 6th visit, I've never been anywhere else more than once in my life.
Fantastic hotel and venue! Personally, we really enjoyed staying in an authentic style building. The breakfast and garden are beautiful and Pere is a joyful host. Highly recommend this gem!
Beautiful house right in the heart of a city centre on a quaint little street. Pool was a bonus to cool down in the mallorcan heat. The host was lovely!
